InFocus: Disabilities follows, showcasing a wide range of storytelling that centers authentic, lived experiences.

The evening concludes with May Shorts, a bold collection of dark comedy, drama, and absurdism exploring complex human experiences.

Calling all writer-directors with a passion for romance, comedy, and unforgettable chemistry 🎬✨

LOVE & LAUGHS, a new short film initiative from @universalpictures, @blackmaledproductions, and @Tribeca, is now open for submissions! Inspired by Malcolm D. Lee’s vision to champion stories rooted in humor, wit, optimism, and love, up to 3 filmmakers will each receive a $50K production grant to bring their short film scripts to life.

Selected filmmakers will also receive creative mentorship and production support, with opportunities for further development consideration from Universal and Blackmaled Productions.

Their day of skipping school in Miami in 1995 tests their friendship as they navigate through a series of back-to-back calamities. Nora’s struggle with being a second generation Haitian trying to assimilate to American culture hits new heights when she is at risk of her grandparents catching her skipping school. If the girls get caught - Nora’s personal life is over.
