We welcome two of Naarm’s finest music collectors and ESSENTIAL pillars of the electronic music community to share songs with us at Tender - a 5 hour set, low lighting, the room set in lounge room mode.

A pairing well known for their tasteful club cuts and well loved for being mum and dad to one of our favourite local festivals, Moniker. Through Moniker, Hannah is able to share a unique musical vision as music curator, while David works tirelessly in pursuit of impeccable sound.
We can’t wait to hear how their sound translates to the Tender floor. We honestly don’t know what to expect but we trust it will be a delightful musical education.
This is not a deep listening event - guests are invited to socialise and connect, while keeping voice volumes respectful of the music. Our brand new liquor license will be in effect - Keeper Pilsner and natural wine on offer, as well as the usual assortment of non-alcoholic beverages.

Recent addition to the Misc team, sound system scholar David Micalizzi @micalizzzi has worked together with Alex Mraz @alexm_audio on some behind-the-scenes modifications that have significantly reduced high-end harshness, added body in the mids, and made the subs kick to your chest way harder than ever before.
For the technical nerds - a bunch of restrictive EQ put initially on the system has been removed, factory crossover settings have been programmed back in, and crucially the subs have been better phase aligned.
We're determined to get the most out of our beloved Italian-made Outline Doppia system, manufactured at the foot of the Italian alps <3
It's a tough time for venues and ongoing and there isn't really any budget going to make significant infrastructure upgrades to the rig but sound is so important to us - we're committed to keep finding DIY ways to make the sound at Misc world class. More sound treatment and tweaks to come!

There’s too much to say about this place. all I know is that at end of the night, being alongside 10+ years of Gaso contributors made me realise how worth it all of this is. we are so blessed to have had this place, i’ll never forget you.
