I loved making this album so much - it made me feel like anything is possible.

We recorded it mostly in three days at The Total Refreshment Centre (apparently it was the first album recorded there) with Kristian Capitol K .
I was so nervous about asking Jamie and Amaury and Gerard to come and record with me - it’s so cool they were up for it.

Me and Jamie met Amaury and Gerard off the bus at the end of Foulden road and straight away it was just excellent fun.

We spent a day setting up and going through the tunes and then we just started rattling through them. As far as I remember most of the songs were the first or second take - it just felt really good. Thrilling. Moving. Cosmic! It’s just such a treasured time in my heart.

I was living on a boat called Pogi. The weather was sunny and freezing. The best.

It’s so funny listening to things you made with enough distance that you can’t quite remember how you did it - it gives me a feeling that we knew exactly what we were doing and it makes me feel impressed with my past self for having so much conviction and clarity of vision. Of course this wasn’t how it was - we just worked it out as we went along !

I loved making this album so much - it made me feel like anything is possible.

We recorded it mostly in three days at The Total Refreshment Centre (apparently it was the first album recorded there) with Kristian Capitol K .
I was so nervous about asking Jamie and Amaury and Gerard to come and record with me - it’s so cool they were up for it.

Me and Jamie met Amaury and Gerard off the bus at the end of Foulden road and straight away it was just excellent fun.

We spent a day setting up and going through the tunes and then we just started rattling through them. As far as I remember most of the songs were the first or second take - it just felt really good. Thrilling. Moving. Cosmic! It’s just such a treasured time in my heart.

I was living on a boat called Pogi. The weather was sunny and freezing. The best.

It’s so funny listening to things you made with enough distance that you can’t quite remember how you did it - it gives me a feeling that we knew exactly what we were doing and it makes me feel impressed with my past self for having so much conviction and clarity of vision. Of course this wasn’t how it was - we just worked it out as we went along !
