On July 30 from 6–10 PM, I’m bringing that vision to life with an intimate songwriter workshop at renowned Evergroove Studio featuring award-winning Nashville songwriter Amy Speace. Songwriters of all levels will gain insight into craft, storytelling, and artistry in a collaborative, top-tier studio environment—while connecting with a community that truly supports one another.

I met Tim through music and, like many Evergroove artists, Tim and I quickly became not just friends - we became family. He was passionate, driven, even fierce, but also very understanding, gentle, and kind. He championed his friends and we believed in him as he pursued his dream as a filmmaker - and he succeeded.

Tim worked on impactful documentaries like Chasing Dory, Pain Brain, Rolling Papers and more. He accomplished his dream of making a documentary about the Nenana Ice Classic, simply titled “Classic.” I was surprised when he called to ask if I would handle the movie soundtrack as well as the album. I remember telling him how much of an honor it was to be asked. He simply told me that he had Evergroove in mind from the start and that he couldn’t imagine doing the music with anyone else. Such a huge heart!

Being successful in our careers and Tim becoming a father meant we didn’t get to spend much time together as we would have liked. That said, we when did connect it was like no time had passed. Yes, he was one of those friends.
