After a number of years searching for the right partner for this project, we are very proud to announce the release of a deluxe, remastered double vinyl 40th anniversary edition of the soundtrack to ‘To Live and Die in LA’ on Interscope Records. It contains all the songs and instrumentals featured in the movie plus some remixes and 2 never-before released demos of songs from that era. We’re sure the long wait has been worth it and that fans will appreciate this beautifully packaged release.

This 2LP IVC pressing of ‘Decemberunderground’ by AFI limited to 3,000 individually numbered copies is pressed on Bone Color Vinyl, with a gatefold jacket featuring alternate color cover art. It includes two bonus tracks, “The View from Here” and “Don’t Change,” plus an original cover art litho and a bonus two-sided locker poster.

After the seismic shift of 2003’s Sing the Sorrow, AFI pushed even further into the shadows on ‘Decemberunderground’, their platinum-selling 2006 follow-up and first album to debut at Number One on the Billboard 200. Reuniting with producer Jerry Finn, whose fingerprints helped define pop-punk’s mainstream rise, the band sharpened its blend of gothic drama, hardcore intensity and arena-sized melody into something slicker, darker and more immediate.

Entertainment Weekly called it their “most melodically acute distillation” of an “eerie, metal-edged Cure sound,” while Alternative Press praised it as “slicker, sleeker and more immaculately angst-ridden than its predecessor.” Anchored by the inescapable “Miss Murder” and deepened by fan favorites “Love Like Winter,” “Kill Caustic” and “Summer Shudder,” ‘Decemberunderground’ remains one of AFI’s defining statements: theatrical, razor-edged and still burning with alienation, heartache and conviction.
