Back in March I signed on as executive producer to lead creative and bring on a team to produce @sprite ‘s SPRITE LIMELIGHT GLOBAL CAMPAIGN TRAILER

Starring visionary producers and incredible humans: @takeadaytrip & this beautiful lineup of musicians from all over the planet @itsyoungmiko @doechii @blxckie_ @fireboydml @layzhang @euxama - ITS OUT NOW! Sharing some sections and a process here and full video on Sprite’s YouTube / @kursza IG

From the beginning, this campaign was always going to be a creative puzzle to solve. @kursza produced shoots in LA, London, and Rio - where we covered intimate studio sessions and cultural immersion. It’s so important that artists feel comfortable with the camera team that they are allowing to film the personal process of making music, and that all bases are covered in international productions to ensure a smooth process. I’m incredibly proud of the way our team handled these moments. Big Shoutout to @chrisheinrich in Brazil.

In post we had to find a way to tell the core story of the campaign and weave together our own footage, along with doc footage captured by teams in China, Nigeria, and Puerto Rico, and of music video clips from some of the most talented MV directors around the world. It was important to keep the brand message at the forefront, stay true to the awesome creative direction set by the agency, and extract the personal stories that each artist in the campaign was proud to share. The writing / editing process proved to be a great challenge for us, an exercise in collaboration, and another deep dive into storytelling.

The best part as always is being able to bring on a team of artists at the top of their game to work together towards one goal.
