Next week we’re starting our spring tour. First, March 26, we play at @tremorpdl at the Açores on the same day as @abdullahminiawyofficial , @aya_yco and @arsenal_mikebe ft HHY @jonathan.uliel.saldanha . We play at some secret location at 18h30. After that we make a stop in Portugal to play at @festival_impulso at Caldas da Rainha and after that we’ll play at the lovely @ragesacree festival at @petitbain in Paris. Really looking forward to finally seeing Saint Abdullah & Eomac @inshallahlaland @ianmcdonnellmusic live. Great line-up. There was a lot of planning involved in this little tour, so we’re really happy it’s finally happening.

The week after, April 4, we’ll play a gig in @atelier210 in Brussels (Etterbeek, but they told me to say that it’s actually not that far!) with local legends @monstera_occulta and @nazaninyalda Hope to see you at one of these shows!

Volgende week beginnen we aan onze voorjaarstour. Eerst spelen we op 26 maart op het Tremor op de Azoren, op dezelfde dag als Abdullah Miniawy, aya en Arsenal Mikebe & HHY. We spelen op een geheime locatie om 18:30 uur. Daarna maken we een tussenstop in Portugal voor Festival Impulso in Caldas da Rainha en vervolgens spelen we op het fantastische @ragesacree festival in @petitbain in Parijs. We kijken er enorm naar uit om Saint Abdullah @inshallahlaland & Eomac @ianmcdonnellmusic eindelijk live te zien. Geweldige line-up. Er is heel wat planning aan deze kleine tour voorafgegaan, dus we zijn blij dat het eindelijk zover is.

De week erna, op 4 april, spelen we een concert in Atelier 210 in Brussel (Etterbeek, maar ik moest zeggen dat het eigenlijk niet zo ver is!) met de lokale legendes @monstera_occulta en @nazaninyalda . Hopelijk zien we jullie bij een van deze shows!

Tonight, you can listen to the 39th episode of ‘Feeding the Gentry’ on @radioalhara . We invited @firaselhallak to do a guestmix. Like 2/3 of Use Knife he lives in Ghent, Belgium and we were really impressed by his The Dome Sessions film. He sent us an uninterrupted broadcast of Sound as Shelter Volumes 2 and 3. Conceived by Firas El Hallak as part of his larger Dome Sessions installation, this project explores the concept of audio as a sanctuary; a temporary space carved out by live, collaborative performance. This special two-part broadcast features back-to-back live recordings from the installation: Part I: Sound as Shelter Vol. 2 — featuring Charbel Haber @barbelbaber Part II: Sound as Shelter Vol. 3 — featuring Anthony Sahyoun @anthony____sahyoun Recorded entirely live, these sets preserve the raw, unedited atmosphere of the original installation space.

The cassette is already sold out and made 3650$ which was split between Seeds of Hope, Gaza (@seedsofhopegaza ) and Reviving Gaza | Mutual Aid (@reviving.gaza ) which are both sustaining frontline, community-based work in Gaza.

He is known for blending traditional Iraqi music with contemporary genres like jazz, rock, and pop. Fun fact: at one of our concerts Hussein replaced Saif on vocals and it was great! What a voice! His guestmix includes a lot of Iraqi classics and some songs featuring Hussein, including a recording from his band @tarab_machine : Che Mali Wali, an Iraqi song we also made a version of on our latest album. Which one’s best? Oh and there’s also a 2022 Use Knife remix of CRASS’ Punk Is Dead.

This gesture completely dissolved the boundary between stage and audience, transforming the experience into a true collective construction, giving concrete form to the idea that, even amidst pain, it is possible to rehearse other forms of community. » @rimasebatidas
