Teaser #1 of a recently completed short film starring my dear friend @jam_and_germs and the microscopic life that perpetually buzzes underneath our awareness. Very excited for this film to embark into the festival world, starting off at the academy award qualifying @officialsbiff on Feb 11.

This clip itself includes real footage of a microscopic face mite (which you probably have on your face too) shot by @jam_and_germs , and real skin cell imagery from an electron microscope, woven together by the VFX wizards at @buralqy .

One of my favorite sequences from A Body Called Life.

A great joy of watching this film with audiences at festivals was hearing the surprised reactions from strangers - who had no idea about this film - seeing these creatures for (probably) the first time in their lives. A reminder of how little we know.

When I set out to make this film, one of the main things I wanted to capture was the feeling of intimacy that I imagined @jam_and_germsfeels when he is looking under the microscope. Took a long time to sort through his IG posts to find the right wordings to adapt for this section, and the right music that feels both cosmic yet deeply personal.
