The IRIDESZENZ sculpture, exhibited last Saturday at the Rosegarden Berlin (@frontrose.global) as part of “even now butterflies play”, curated by Progenote Institute (@progenote.institute) and Wehrmühle (@wehrmuehle), within the Berlin Science Week 2025 (@berlinscienceweek).
The work is a homage to the dragonfly. They are the guardians of our waters with the core necessity of healthy rivers, streams, and lakes. A being between water and air, light and movement, whose shimmering wings remind us of nature’s intelligence and fragility.
A huge thank you to everyone involved to making this possible, especially Sparxell (@sparxell) for making this work possible through their beautiful structural colour material, as well as the material inventor Prof. Dr. Silvia Vignolini (@maxplanckgesellschaft) for joining the panel talk and sharing her insights on light, color nature, and science.

@sparxell × @positivematerials | A collaboration that keeps shinning ✨
Last month, at @wearepremierevision, we recently revisited our collaboration with SPARXELL, bringing structural colour back to the surface by exploring how it can express a mood or brand identity through both all-over as well as placed prints.
First introduced as a unique rotary print option for structural colour application, the collaborative capsule kept evolving: expanding from full-roll printing to precise, localised placement.
The result: less pigment waste and new ways to use light and texture as tools of expression for different design languages.
Each print catches light differently, and each one is a quiet reminder that innovation doesn’t pause: it changes and adapts, shimmer by shimmer, allowing creativity, sustainability, and identity to coexist. ✨
