A breakthrough at lab-scale is always a hypothesis.

The #TrailblazerProgramme, by @globalfashionagenda and @pdsventures / #PDSGroup helps early-stage innovators bridge the gap between research, industry and real-world scale.

This year’s shortlist brings together some of the most promising developments across AI pattern optimisation, next-generation recycling, bio-based colourants and agricultural waste fibres.

Right now, @jorgemiguelcribeiro is at the Global Fashion Summit 2026, Copenhagen, in the room where the next collaboration starts.

One of the nine shortlisted projects will earn the opportunity to jumpstarts their expansion with an investment package of up to USD 200,000, plus operational support from PDS Group's network, with @PositiveMaterials collaborating with the winner through R&D, product development and scale-up.

Agricultural waste is an underused resource in material innovation.

This Friday, 13 March, our Co-CEO & CTO @elsavparente will speak at the IFBEC–TEFLA Global BioTex Fashion & Circularity Summit 2026 in Gurugram, joining the panel:
“From Farm to Fashion: Transforming Agricultural Waste into the Next Generation of Materials.”

The discussion will explore how agricultural by-products can become viable inputs for future textile systems, and what it takes to scale these innovations.

Insights from the summit will also contribute to a White Paper outlining policy perspectives, investment priorities and implementation pathways for the textile sector.

Stretch is everywhere, circularity isn’t. Yet.

Elastane is present in around 80% of clothing. Even in small amounts, it disrupts textile recycling, limiting fibre-to-fibre recovery and leaving garments with few end-of-life options.

Launched today, Stretching Circularity is a @fashionforgood initiative bringing together partners across the textile value chain,including @positivematerials , to accelerate the adoption of lower-impact elastane alternatives through two workstreams:
• Bio-based elastane
• Regenerated elastane

Together, we are building the evidence to unlock circular textile systems at scale.

Following the debut of a Woven Essentials Capsule at @milanounica_mu, where we are showcasing right now, this collaboration is also extending into new jersey fabric explorations.

Still in development, these jersey options will make use of a 90/10 cotton-blended yarns created by #Inovafil, delivering a smooth and refined handfeel, suitable for a wide range of high-end fashion applications — soon to be available in the market.
