Meet The Artist - Dulwich Festival Artist Open House
Tom Casey

Tom is a visual artist working across photography, collage, and screen printing. His practice centres on the creation of collages using tabloid imagery and references drawn from popular culture, creating playful and thought-provoking pieces. Humour is a consistent thread throughout his work, emerging through unexpected juxtapositions and irony.

With a strong interest in photography, Tom has developed an interest in CMYK processes, translating photographic qualities into screen printing.

Currently, Tom is pivoting from his usual approach to explore large-scale black-and-white screen prints. This shift is a move towards a more restrained visual, focusing on contrast and form. His exhibited work, Standing Stones (70 × 100 cm), is a black-and-white screen print constructed from collaged imagery of standing stones and male nudity, bringing together themes of folklore, landscape, and the human body.

Meet The Artist - Dulwich Festival Artist Open House
Zetrunk

Zetrunk is a London-based artist shaped by a childhood in the brutalist landscape of Thamesmead in the 80s and 90s, a world of concrete, shadow, and quiet tension. Early creativity gave way to conformity, silencing artistic expression for years. Decades later, a surreal, almost angelic encounter disrupted that path, forcing a deep confrontation with identity, purpose, and self-worth. Zetrunk transforms suppression into expression, embracing both chaos and humour in the process.

Now reclaiming a sense of youthful freedom, Zetrunk uses art as a channel to communicate emotion and thought. Their work is bold and colourful, drawing on pop art and advertising aesthetics, with striking shapes, words, and symbols that turn inner dialogue into visual language, encouraging others to push past self-doubt and keep moving forward.

We recently screenprinted a series of tote bags for Memories for the Future, a long-term community project by @peckhamplatform. The project brings together local residents and artists to explore personal and collective histories through storytelling and creative practice, building a shared archive of Peckham’s evolving community. It was a pleasure to support such a thoughtful and community-led initiative.

Artist Open House Special
Artist Live Demonstration by Andrea Sofía

During our Open House, we’re excited to showcase a live printing demonstration led by Andrea, who will be creating original works in real time. This demo offers a behind-the-scenes look at how ideas evolve into finished prints, particularly within the context of children’s book illustration.

The first piece will be a 16 x 11 inch print inspired by a patchwork quilt. Each square of the quilt represents a different letter of the alphabet, forming part of a Spanish/English ABC book Andrea is currently developing. Once completed, the artwork will be digitally divided into individual sections, each becoming a page in the final book,an inventive approach that combines traditional craft inspiration with modern storytelling.

The second print, sized at 16 x 8 inches, will feature a double-page spread from a children’s story. The narrative follows a young boy preparing to cook with his grandmother, only to have his ingredients mysteriously come to life and run away. The scene being printed captures the boy in pursuit of one of these runaway ingredients through his neighbourhood. Set within a Puerto Rican context, the story brings cultural flavour and humour to life—quite literally, as he may be chasing after a runaway plantain.

Together, these prints highlight Andrea’s playful storytelling, cultural influences, and creative process, offering visitors a unique glimpse into the world of illustration and printmaking.

Date: 10th & 17th May 2026 (Sun)
Time: 2:30pm–5:00pm

Come along to watch her process in action and gain a closer understanding of how her distinctive printed works are made.
