[[alternative reality]] WEEK! NYC Node is a two day game jam (March 21st-22nd) followed by playtest session (29th March or later) designing playful experiences that combine game mechanics with the real world. No-tech, low-tech, or high-tech all welcome.
Initiated by Shanghai-based collective @rect_repair, this game jam taking place simultaneously in Tokyo, Taipei, Shanghai, The Hague, London, New York, and Mexico City.
The New York node will be hosted by @bdon , @cyrulene , and @queeniwuat ITP on NYU campus.

[[alternative reality]]: JAM! (game jam) - March 21st & 22nd (Sat & Sun)) 10am - 6pm, you are welcome to drop in an out, but the space will be open for jamming all weekend.
[[alternative reality]]: PLAY! (playtesting) - TBD, likely the weekend after on March 28th or 29th!

The in person gamejam event in the New York City node will be open to up to 20 game makers and creatives interested in exploring alternative reality games. Whether or not you have experience in making games, we welcome anyone who is open-minded and committed to take part.

𝒄0𝒎1𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 @𝒈𝒆 is a group exhibition featuring six NYC-based interactive media artists anecdoting on intimate processes of adolescence in technology.
From headsets to browsers to Dance Dance Revolution, these works find ways to carry forward the lightness, bravery, and tenderness that came with these foundational screens. The exhibition reframes technological nostalgia as an active process of becoming rather than passive longing for the past.
