chuffed that THE COST OF HUGGING is finally online as a @vimeo staff pick!!

after a year of production, and a year of festivals, it’s time for it to “hit the web” (apart from in andorra).

I’m endlessly grateful to all the cast and crew for their kind favours and commitment, and to my friends who gave notes on the cringeworthy early edits, which featured an AI cat breaking the fourth wall every fifth shot and saying “so THAT’s the cost of hugging!”.

I’ve really enjoyed showing it to audiences on the festival circuit over the past year - a big big thanks to all the programmers and festival people who’ve made me feel so welcome, finding a space for the film in their shorts selections and a space for me at their free bar.
