Today marks the beginning of a new chapter in my academic career! As many of you know, I successfully defended my doctoral dissertation last December. I’m elated to share that following my PhD studies, I’ve been rehired by the university to serve as a lecturer for the music department, where I’ll be teaching Intro to Music Production for the Spring 2026 semester.
Looking forward to the fun teaching adventures ahead!
Pumped to travel to Houston this weekend for three choreographed performances (1/23 - 1/25) of "let it ring" performed by @musiqahouston and @noblemotiondance at @matchouston ! I've never had professional choreography set to my music, so this is a really fun first for me. Plus, I'm excited to spend some time with @musiqahouston, with whom I had a composer-in-residence position from 2019-2020. This score-follower clip features audio from the piece's premiere performance by @hubnewmusic back in 2024. Also on the program, you'll also see live visuals translated from brain wave data! Whoa!

A little clip from the European premiere of "Fleabane" this past summer! It was an absolute joy to travel to Slovenia for the first time and take in the natural beauty of Bled, as well as a ton of new music by incredible composers.

🌊✨ Sharing a very special musical experience of mine with you all — here’s a little glimpse of my piece "Swell", a work inspired by the ocean and its extremes, commissioned by the Aspen Music Festival as part of the 2024 Druckman Prize.
Getting to collaborate with Tobias Furholt (conductor), Mark Stringer, and the amazing musicians of the Aspen Conducting Academy Orchestra was nothing short of unforgettable. This experience has been both an artistic and career highlight for me — and I’m so excited to finally share the music with you.
