Join us for VENTURE, the thrilling finale of Apollo Chamber Players’ American Story season.
At the heart of the evening is the world premiere of Hidden Figures: Shared Orbit, a powerful staged concert work by Houston composers Mark Buller (@mark_buller_composer ) and John Cornelius (@sigma1914f85 ), developed with Space Historian Jennifer Ross-Nazzal. The work shares the stories of Miguel Hernandez, a Cuban immigrant in NASA’s Mission Control, and Shirley K. Price, a pioneering Black and disabled leader who helped expand access and opportunity within the agency.
Inspired by Houston’s space legacy and today’s lunar missions, VENTURE is a journey through music, storytelling, and discovery. Plus, your ticket includes a festive post concert reception! 🥂

As humanity once again turns its gaze toward the Moon, VENTURE explores the enduring drive for discovery and the untold stories that make it possible. Rooted in the ideals of American democracy — innovation, collaboration, and the free exchange of ideas — this season finale centers not only on missions, but on the individuals whose voices and resilience shape the course of exploration.
