Bassnotesonhope is a pop-up musical-theatre semi-professional choir-ensemble-band competitive dance team that started out in Prague and keeps re-forming wherever they will have us next.

“We fixate on cool topics and build performances around them. Amongst our previous obsession were: the song Ironic by Alanis Morisette, all the flags of the world, Maria Manow from @bassvictim, piracy off the coast of Somalia, Cairo as the new New York and Lorde on Guerrilla warfare. Our Current obsession: Dark Tiki.”

Headlining the evening, Aïsha Devi is a Swiss-Tibetan producer and founder of Danse Noire whose work fuses ritualistic intensity with deconstructed club sonics. Her live performances channel trance, spiritual futurism, and raw presence.

She has also recently composed for and performed with the BBC Concert Orchestra at London’s Queen Elizabeth Music Hall and premiered her show “Les Immortelles” with voirlemans at CTM in Volksbuhne which has gone on to be presented at @sonarfestival, @rewirefestival, Mutek and @icalondon amongst other notable events and venues in 2024.
