Williams, artist Amak Mahmoodian and poets Sunnah Khan and Haia Mohammed for an informative conversation considering how image and voice can challenge and reframe dominant narratives across Palestine, Iran and Lebanon.
The evening also features a rare screening of Walid Raad’s The Dead Weight of a Quarrel Hangs (1998), which reflects on the limits and possibilities of narrating the Lebanese civil wars.

Choreographer Samara Langham (@samaralangham) presents her latest piece, Nacre, in a special double bill with Samba Jean-Baptiste (@greengumballl) at the ICA – 4 July 🔥
In Nacre, a newly commissioned performance, four figures move between polar forces. As they meet the edges of physical and emotional thresholds, they are bounded together like layers of ‘nacre’: the iridescent substance of a pearl, formed to protect against a parasite.
