Sirens invites the audience on a sensual and mysterious journey into the world of desire and its social expression.

On stage, Chara Kotsali and Adonis Vais transform through movement, telling a story of dreams, freedom, and fluid identity. Two bodies that both embrace and reject stereotypical gender roles, creating their own unique language of expression.

Over the last six months of their MATCH · Mediterranean as the Climate Hotspot residency in Athens, artists Annalisa Zegna, Garance Maurer, and Vitoria Kotsalou have been exploring the Duncan Dance Centre’s Community Garden and the surroundings as a space for movement, reflection and listening to the rhythms of the ever-changing Mediterranean - investigating the ecologies of water and fire, the connections between people, land and memory.
Following a series of special events with an invited group of researchers, artists and scientists across Friday and Saturday, we open the doors of the Duncan Community Garden to the public for two moments of shared gathering:

Paul Klee: From Bach to Bauhaus

“Only with music did I always have a good relationship,” said Paul Klee, arguably the most musical of painters. A skilled violinist, he performed in chamber groups and orchestras, translating musical rhythm, notation, and polyphony into visual art, deeply inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

His influence also moved in the opposite direction: composers like Karlheinz Stockhausen and Pierre Boulez drew from his Bauhaus teachings, even calling his notes one of the best composition manuals.

This musical tribute features pieces Klee loved and performed, works by Bauhaus contemporaries, and compositions inspired by his paintings.

The most famous ballet of all time comes in a gentle, interactive version, closing this year’s Pocket Opera & Ballet workshop and performance series.

Tchaikovsky’s iconic work becomes a tender fairytale with Odette, Odile, and Prince Siegfried, offering little ones a warm and safe first introduction to ballet and the performing arts.

The touring exhibition “Mikis Theodorakis: Memory in the Digital Age” continues its journey across Greece. After its warm opening at the Center of Mediterranean Architecture, the exhibition arrives for its second stop at the Museum of the Olive and Greek Olive Oil, of the Piraeus Cultural Foundation.

Initiated by the Ministry of Culture of Greece in collaboration with the Friends of Music Association and the Lilian Voudouri Music Library, which has safeguarded the archive of Mikis Theodorakis since 1997, the exhibition celebrates 100 years since the birth of the great composer.

For the first time, all the digital tools developed to make his work accessible to everyone are presented together. Through three immersive pavilions, visitors can explore Theodorakis’ life and artistic legacy using interactive technologies.

The exhibition also invites younger audiences to discover his world through engaging digital quizzes, making it a playful introduction to one of Greece’s most influential composers.

Η δεύτερη «Κυριακή στον Κήπο» έρχεται την 1η Μαρτίου (11:00–15:00) στον κήπο του Duncan Dance Research Center, συνεχίζοντας έναν ανοιχτό κύκλο συναντήσεων δημιουργίας, φροντίδας και ανταλλαγής για όλες τις ηλικίες.

Η Μαριάννα Καβαλλιεράτου (@kavallieratosmarianna) θα μοιραστεί την εμπειρία της από τους κήπους του The Watermill Center, που ίδρυσε ο Robert Wilson, αναδεικνύοντας τον κήπο ως τόπο συνάντησης, φροντίδας και καλλιτεχνικής δημιουργίας. Παράλληλα, η Κοινωνική Κουζίνα «Ο Άλλος Άνθρωπος» θα συμβάλει στο πνεύμα προσφοράς και κοινότητας

Among Echoes explores a rare and intimate sound world where the historic clavichord, the human voice, and electronics meet.

Traveling from the Netherlands, the duo presents a sensory dialogue between early Baroque and contemporary classical music, alongside their own experimental works. The program features Greek premieres by Greek composers and newly commissioned pieces, as well as early Baroque works that highlight the clavichord’s soft, whisper-like tone.

Once a favorite instrument for private study and chamber music, and famously loved for its expressive subtlety, the clavichord finds new relevance today as a poetic partner to the human voice.

A concert that moves between past and present, intimacy and experimentation.

Η πρώτη «Κυριακή στον κήπο» (1/2) έφερε κοντά παιδιά και ενήλικες από τον Δήμο Βύρωνα και την καλλιτεχνική κοινότητα σε μια μέρα γεμάτη εξερεύνηση, δημιουργία και μοίρασμα. Με οδηγό τις αισθήσεις, το σώμα και τη φαντασία τους, τα παιδιά γνώρισαν τη ζωή του κήπου, δημιούργησαν εικαστικές κατασκευές, και έγιναν μέρος ενός αυθόρμητου χορού που γέμισε τον χώρο κέφι και ζωντάνια. Μια μέρα συλλογικότητας, φροντίδας και σκέψης γύρω από τη σχέση μας με το περιβάλλον.
