Taking place from June 17 - 21, Calgary’s annual Sled Island festival presents a thoughtfully chosen lineup of events in multiple locations and venues across the city each June. Today’s announcement includes over 150 more bands, comedy, special events and conference panels, as well as the full schedule for all of this year’s programming.

The full lineup and schedule for Sled Island 2026 has arrived, including over 150 more bands, comedy, special events and conference panels!

New additions include unhinged hyperpop rapper Lil Mariko (@katmarikoz), “tenderpunk” four-piece illuminati hotties (@ih.rips), emotive and technique-heavy alt-rock group @palehound, Indigenous electronic cello artist @cris_derksen, noisy Midwest slowcore outfit @floodingks, infectious indie rock project @fanclubwallet, mask-wearing thrash punks @teardungeon, genre-bending post-punk artist @j_r_c_g, New Mexico pop-punk band @weedrat666, and the final two guest curator selections: experimental musique concrète project @coolingprongs, and Nigerian‑American pianist @sharonplaysthepiano (who also performs with @clppng)!

We’ve also got an outstanding collection of emerging acts joining this year’s lineup, including @drezus, @virgorisingmusic, @franklin.theband, @waynepgarrett, @eejungmi, @trickyfm, @kali__horse, @spank_williams, @midnightpeg, @shunkland and many, many more.

Don’t forget two nights of stand-up comedy with some amazing Canadian talent, including @bensosawright, @theindianrobot, @sophhaze, @realexciting, @gabbyrosecomedy and @cullenthecomic.

This year’s special events include the Poster Show, Drag Brunch, an art exhibit from Clinton St. John (@longhaired__artist), the Wrap-Up Pig Roast, and more.

Lastly, all conference panels will take place on June 19 at the Central Library, where attendees can learn about grant writing, visual content, branding, DIY events, mental health and broadcasting.

Passes and tickets are on sale now. A limited number of day passes and single show tickets to newly announced Sled Island 2026 shows will go on sale this Friday, May 8 at noon MDT.

His work blends musique concrète, noise, tape collage, and electroacoustic composition to create dense, cinematic soundscapes that push hip-hop into avant-garde territory. The first wave of Sled Island 2026 artists is here!

Joining Sled Island’s previously announced guest curator, @clppng, is English chamber folk ensemble @blackcountrynewroad, revered Canadian pop project HOMESHAKE (@pitrrsugr), LA synth punks @sextileband, fuzzy indie rock outfit @feeblelittlehorse, outlandish egg punk group @snooper_7, lo-fi post-punk duo @sweeping.promises, NYC-based ambient pioneer @laraaji_official, and genre-bending dream pop artist @salamirosejoelouis (signed to Flying Lotus’ record label, Brainfeeder).

Also included in the first wave lineup is Nigerien desert rock band @etrandelair, a new solo project from multidisciplinary artist and Sled Island alum @thorharris (Swans, Thor & Friends, Ben Frost), acclaimed lo-fi hip-hop artist @dijahsb, indie pop singer-songwriter @emilyyacina, blackened death metal trio @suffering_hour, and Montreal slop rock group Tha Retail Simps.

This year, clipping. has handpicked an incredible collection of performers, including renowned abstract rapper billy woods (@armandhammernyc), horrorcore noise rap artist @backxwash, accomplished experimental sound composer Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe (@kirlianauras), Calgary hip-hip heroes @cartel.madras (opening for clipping. at @palacetheatreyyc), Australian free noise musician @granpa_abela, gothic industrial artist @iamlanadelrabies, and more still to be announced.
