Cineworks’ Bolex 16 Series kicks off April 28—don’t miss your chance to dive into the world of analog filmmaking.

Across four hands-on sessions, you’ll learn to shoot on a classic Bolex 16 camera, load film, meter light, and even process your footage in the Analog Lab—all while working in small collaborative teams.

Led by filmmaker John de Courcy, this series is perfect for curious newcomers and seasoned filmmakers alike.

We understand that life is busy and that this series is a considerable time investment (sessions may run from two to four hours). Please ensure you can attend all sessions, as there are no partial refunds or transfers for missed sessions. If you need to withdraw, a full refund is available up to two days before the first session.

We aim to keep our workshops as accessible as possible while sustaining Cineworks’ operations. If financial circumstances are a barrier, please contact our Program Coordinator at education@cineworks.ca so we can work with you toward an arrangement.
