In 2022 I had the honour of opening Khaleej Modern @nyuadartgallery at the invitation of @mayaallison2.0. It was truly a dream to have it realised which came true in collaboration with and because of their amazing team ❤️🙏

منتقييم القيمة الفنية الضيفة الدكتورة عائشة ستوبي، وهي محاضرة زميلة تدرس في كلية الدراسات الشرقية والأفريقية بجامعة لندن، ومستشارة لوزارة الثقافة والشباب والرياضة في سلطنة عُمان، بالإضافة إلى العديد من الأدوار الأخرى لها.

#hayyarts | new monumental group exhibition ‘Redrawing the Boundaries: Art Movements and Collectives of the 20th Century Khaleej’, opens in Jeddah, Thursday May 22

One of Hayy Arts largest and most critical group exhibitions to date, ‘Redrawing the Boundaries’ brings together over 50 artists who have shaped and been influenced by modern art movements across the Gulf during a fixed historical period that gave rise to distinct artistic vocabularies. It traces the tensions between tradition and modernity and the central role artists and art communities played in the founding of art institutions.

Conceived by guest-curator Dr. Aisha Stoby (@aisha_stoby ), a teaching fellow at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London; advisor to the Oman Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport among many other roles.
