It's been relatively quiet on the 75 Dollar Bill front in the last year and change, so we're especially excited to be doing a two night run at a place that has been supportive of us since the very beginning, Union Pool. Rick and I will be doing the first night as a duo and the second in the warm company of the Little Big Band family. Yr Knives, a new band featuring Chicago lifers Doug McCombs (Tortoise), Brian Sulpizio (Health and Beauty) and Quin Kirchner, and local faves Tiers La Familia (which features the LBB's Cheryl Kingan on synths and vocals) open night one, while a new project from singer/bassist Felice Rosser (FaithNYC), singer Shara Lunon (History Dog, Blasé) and drummer Cinque Kemp open for the Little Big Band on night two. Felice is an amazing singer and did a stripped down version of FaithNYC at one of our Social Music residencies back in the Troost era, so it was a nice surprise to find out that she had a mutual admirer in Shara. This'll be this group's first gig!

Little Black Egg is Georgia Hubley on Electric Guitar, and Ira Kaplan on Keyboards. Georgia Hubley is a percussionist, vocalist, visual artist, and co-founder of the acclaimed indie rock band Yo La Tengo, which she formed with her husband, guitarist and vocalist Ira Kaplan, in 1984. At Duck Creek, Hubley will perform a rare set of atmospheric, improvised music as her solo project, Little Black Egg, creating a unique sonic experience for audiences.

75 Dollar Bill is Rick Brown on Percussion and Che Chen on Guitar. 75 Dollar Bill will take the stage after Little Black Egg, joined by additional musical friends and family known as Little Big Band. The New York-based musical duo formed in 2012 by guitarist Che Chen and percussionist Rick Brown blends diverse influences, including Mauritanian guitar traditions, American blues, and minimalist compositions, creating a unique sound characterized by modal melodies and rhythmic patterns. Chen's use of quarter-tone guitars and Brown's percussive techniques, often involving a plywood crate, contribute to their distinctive sonic texture.

They will be joined by Little Big Band. Known for their electrifying live performances, the band frequently expands beyond its core duo, this version of their celebrated "Little Big Band" will include: Sue Garner (bass), Cheryl Kingan (saxophone), Talice Lee (violin), Steve Maing (guitar), Jim Pugliese (percussion) and Barry Weisblat (percussion). Their acclaimed albums, like Wood/Metal/Plastic/Pattern/Rhythm/Rock and I Was Real, showcase their ability to fuse global musical elements into cohesive, improvisational works.​
