Jeremy Batista, owner of @bodega.city & @bodega.truck is a living, breathing testament to blood, sweat and tears. Inspired by watching his mom run her bodega as a kid, the Bronx native now runs the best chopped cheese from Brooklyn to the Bronx and there’s no sign of slowing down.

The OMA Shop means The Beautiful Shop in Igbo. Built from the idea that she shouldn’t have to travel out of her neighborhood to experience pure and simple beauty; Lizzy Okpo created a space in Harlem that offers coffee, bites, natural wine, hair braiding/cuts and most importantly, a place surrounded by beauty and grounded in community.

Entrepreneurship in NYC is fulfilling and soul crushing at the same time but the life it can afford you is worth the marathons New Yorkers run everyday.

Valiant come back or a love letter to NYC Women?

We have been working around the clock since June with the @footlocker global partner team to give the @nike Air Max Muse the homecoming she deserves. Stylish, innovative, functional and incredibly inspiring, we knew the story had to be told through the eyes of the women of NYC and during NYFW, no less. This was a moment to celebrate the women who walk the streets with a certain rhythmic stride, gliding through the world on their own terms; recognizing the climb and owning their peaks.

Part 1 included a hand delivered gifting experience for 10 NYC Muses. We showed up in their homes, their studios and their favorite stores: The Muse in Residence experience started with a white glove moment, reminding these women that they are their own muses and their power is evoked from within.

Thank you to our gifting partners @away, @bala and @terravitevineyard - this experience was truly one of a kind.

Thank you to the team for working diligently towards making sure each Muse felt cared for.

This week we received the exciting news that a series I directed, “All About Virginity & Your First Time,” produced by our @word.agency team for @ppact and filmed at @girlsclubny, has won a platinum @MUSEAward in the Educational Video Category! 🏆 This series is also up for an @anthemawards, you can help us win by clicking the link in my bio!

I am very lucky to call this work but the truth is, it’s the hard work and grit of myself and the amazing people I collaborate with that got us here. We have truly been dedicated to creating impactful content for our Gen Z community, working to foster a sense of belonging, representation and equity is our primary goal. This project, one of the first I worked on after returning from a long and challenging maternity leave, highlights the significance of culturally sensitive production practices from start to finish.

From script supervision to glam, art department to our dedicated production assistants, every element seamlessly came together to create a truly exceptional production all while having a wonderful and respectful time working together. This award is a testament to the collaborative effort and commitment to excellence that our team embodies.

We produced a 5 stop tour in a custom wrapped truck to celebrate the city and the launch of the @snipes_usa x @adidas Top Ten sneaker. We had exclusive gift with purchase drops by @dezdelmar, @thehiphoplab, @rickwlms & @cornerstoregoods & then of course we had @djkillasquid turning up the beats & the amazing @pizzacatmax who made it a pizza party at every stop, handing out complimentary slices. Every moment was a celebration of Detroit’s love for community, culture, and kicks! 🎉🍕
