we wrote and shot this within a week of wrapping the El Paso unit of a feature film we knew as BC Project - a film that would later be known as One Battle After Another.
we were mad inspired. so we made a short film to showcase the place and people we got to spend so much time with.

It’s an experimental short film purely comprised of observational footage and an evocative soundtrack by @astridsonne_ .

For those that may not know, The Sidewalk Artist is currently up for Oscar consideration for Best Live Action Short Film. We qualified for the 2024 Academy Awards after winning the grand jury prize at @slamdancegroup this year, and we are so overwhelmed with how far this film has come. We still can’t wrap our heads around it. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to watch the film, leave a letterboxed review, or share it with others. We’re just so happy to be along for the ride and look forward to this next chapter.
