It’s been already two months since graduating from @animationsinstitut . I put a showreel together for my diploma presentation, containing snippets of every project, exercises and my personal animations. 💚

During my studies, I created beautiful projects with lovely people and got the chance to explore different animation styles.

I’m grateful for all the people who helped me along the way, and a special thank you to Animationsinstiut for giving us students the freedom to explore! And another special thank you to all the mentors and lecturers from whom I learnt so much. 💚

Fluorescent critter groove through a coastal world, led by a superior chorus. Their carefree crawl, however, is increasingly interrupted by the rising seas. As the water works its magic on the beaches, one by one they are swept away. But is an invisible danger worth slowing down the usual crawl? A rhythmic poem of cute creatures, peer pressure and the urge to move to higher ground in time.

Films like Corpse Bride or The Nightmare Before Christmas were one of the reasons I wanted to study Film and Animation. I greatly respect Stop Motion Animation, so I was always scared to try it.

But thanks to @arne_hain, I finally gave it a try, and it's so cool! It isn't easy, but it is also so much fun.

We were allowed to use the puppets of @the.last.bar. Check out their Instagram and be amazed by this film!

Town Hall Square is the latest project I worked on as a character animator. My lovely team and I are part of the Graduation Projects panel. Watch it online on Friday, May 06, 12:30 in Raum Ulm, Online.

The frustrated subway ticket seller Bernard is confronted with the appearance of a little tiger, which not only turns "Town Hall Square" subway station but also Bernard's whole life upside down and leads him back to happiness.
