I'm excited to share the most boring video in the world: me driving safety on Brooklyn streets yesterday.

But there's more than meets the eye: this car has speed limiter tech that makes it impossible to drive dangerously fast.

My "Stop Super Speeders" Act would require speed limiters in the cars of repeat reckless drivers who get 16+ speeding tickets in a year. That's a small percentage of drivers on New York roads, but it will have an outsized impact on safety.

I can tell you firsthand: this device works, it's easy to drive with, and it will save lives. Nothing boring about that.

This Sunday 9/7, NY4P and friends will be at Grand Army Plaza (Prospect Park West) in Brooklyn for the 2025 Daffodil Project and Pollinator Day!

This year we’re partnering with @ritajosephnyc, @shahanafrombk, @am_robert.carroll, @prospect_park, @transaltbk, and @nycparks Plant Ecology Center and Nursery.

In addition to our regularly scheduled bulb and seed distribution, expect family friendly activities, ways to steward/advocate for parks, and giveaways*

Registered for bulbs? Pick ‘em up between 10:00AM – 2PM. On the waitlist? Pick up (depending on availability) after 12:30PM.

There was a fatal crash on Wednesday in which a pedestrian was struck and killed by a box truck on Morgan Avenue near Cooper Park.

Members of the community are gathering tonight for an emergency action in response to this tragedy—both to honor the life lost and to call on the city to take urgent steps to make Morgan Avenue safe.
