Toro Chicago is my new brunch obsession but before I share the price I think you should sit down. Diners will enjoy a 2 hour bottomless food & drink experience, which also includes a brunch entrée for $68 per person. If you only want bottomless food, then it’s $55 per person. I really thought the price on the menu was a mistake. There’s even an option to order ala carte from the menu. Trust me when I say, do not miss this fabulous brunch! Book your weekend reservation (Sat & Sun) from noon to 4pm now.
We started with all 7 of the bottomless dishes for the table. There’s a Greek yogurt parfait with house made granola & berries and a tasty salsa macha edamame.
Looking for something sweet? Enjoy the churros with abuela’s chocolate & cajeta sauce, as well as a croissant with banana & dulce de leche whipped cream.
For something savory, I recommend the al pastor pork belly bao with achiote-marinade, grilled pineapple, avocado espuma & red onion salsa. The beef anticucho with Peruvian ají adobo & charred poblano corn salad was very tender. Our favorite was the flavorful shrimp cocktail aguachile with red fresno chile, avocado & horseradish, which we did order a second dish.
Diners also select a brunch entree from 8 choices. There’s everything from French toast to an omelette. I loved the fabulous skirt steak & fried eggs with potato & chimichurri. We also couldn’t resist the fantastic Toro burger with fried egg & bacon morita jam.
Still hungry? You can always add on entrees for an additional cost. I loved the flavorful salsas on the huevos rancheros. The shrimp & corn enchiladas with a creamy guajillo sauce were also fabulous.
Don’t forget the bottomless cocktails. I loved the Hugo spritz & the margarita. I also recommend adding on the Bloody Mary cart (+$20) for a delicious tableside handcrafted experience.
