OINK x @clerkenwelldesignweek

It’s today! Join us to experience our collections in real life - there’s something special about being able to see and feel the craft behind each piece.

We’ll be sharing the stories behind the work and talking all things process, materials and making from our Dorset workshop.

It’s free to visit, with heaps happening across Clerkenwell throughout the week, so why not make a day of it?

See you there 👋

THIS IS OINK @thisisoink

Contrasting timbers reveal hidden joinery, transforming structural precision into flowing patterns of craft and process.

The Invisible Made Visible at @londoncraftweek explores the hidden forces that shape making — from unseen labour and material transformation to the quiet gestures embedded in process. Bringing together practices across jewellery, ceramics, sculpture, installation, furniture, wearable works, glass, textile and embroidery, the exhibition reveals what often remains unnoticed: the time, care and experimentation behind each piece, highlighting the stories and processes that usually remain invisible.

The story behind the studio.

We’re Dan & Lulu. Dan is a furniture designer and maker, while Lulu is a graphic designer and mum to our tiny toddler June. Over the past decade, together we’ve developed our craft at notable studios and major galleries across London and Melbourne. After moving from London to Dorset last year, OINK became our shared creative practice.

From our workshop on a Dorset farm, we design and make contemporary home & bespoke goods. Our work grows through a process of experimentation, combining CNC-led joinery with traditional craftsmanship. Everything that goes out the workshop is made to order, which keeps the quality high and the waste low.

2026 is our first full year of making, balancing family life with building a studio from the ground up. So we’re channeling the Year of the Horse and stepping into it with energy, ambition and a deep passion for what we do.

We’re currently taking on bespoke commissions - if you have an idea in mind, we’d love to hear from you.

Last day @clerkenwelldesignweek

It’s been such a great few days meeting so many new people, reconnecting with old friends and having so many conversations around design, craft and making.

We’re also super grateful for the recent press features from @elledecorationuk and @hueandeye_mag over the week - exciting moments for our small studio.

We’ve loved hearing your feedback on the collections and seeing people connect with OINK in person, it really means a lot. If you’d like to buy an OINK piece, you can explore our shop via the link in our bio.

& if you haven’t visited yet, come and see us today 👋

Find us in Future Talent at the Charterhouse, we’ll be here till 5pm.

Clerkenwell Design Week is not only about the biggest names in design.

Sometimes, the most interesting ideas come from smaller studios asking sharper questions:
Can waste become desirable?
Can temporary design avoid becoming disposable?
Can craft move beyond nostalgia?

From lightweight furniture to textile experiments, from material reuse to contemporary craft, this carousel highlights the kind of independent thinking worth paying attention to.

Save this post if you are tracking emerging design directions.
Comment below: which question feels most urgent to you right now — sustainability, waste, craft, or temporary design?
