Join us for a free screening of four new episodes in the Sparking Creativity series on December 2! Each episode features a different director and some of the most inspiring artists working today.

You’ll leave the theater energized and happy — which feels like something we could all use right now.

A little personal moment from behind the scenes: A few weeks ago, I was honored with 2nd place at the Hillsboro Film Fest! It’s my name on the award, but it’s really a win for the whole Sparking Creativity community.

I’m holding on to that energy today as I tackle some big grant writing—wish us luck! This opportunity could have a meaningful impact on Sparking Creativity as an organization and help us keep telling these bright, inspiring stories.

Still glowing from last night! ✨ We were thrilled and honored to take home 2nd place in the Documentary category at the 2nd Annual Hillsboro Film Festival for the first four episodes of Sparking Creativity!

It was such a treat to see all the episodes screen back-to-back in a charming downtown Hillsboro theater—and to be part of a powerful closing block of films. Shoutout to our fellow filmmakers:

Teaching a workshop this week for the @sva_digitalphoto graduate students. “The Handmade Book” or as I like to call it, “Bookbinding For Photographers”. This is my fourth year, and an absolute joy every time I’m offered the opportunity. Anyone in Portland interested in this class? If so, I’ll look into it! It’s so fun, 2 days of making books to show off your work.
