My journey into the world of cinema began in my second year of BMM here, spearheaded by the maverick Maam Farida who taught us film, replaced today by an equally passionate Maam Belinda. This is where I first watched Pather Panchali, Bicycle Thieves, The Seven Samurai, Battleship Potempkin, Citizen Cane… and so many others. More modern masterpieces as our film club started, including In the Mood For Love, Talk to Her & Children of Heaven… As the lights of the MMR dimmed, stories from across time and space transported me to another dimension from which I’ve never really returned fully… 🙇🏻‍♀️

What a privilege… to be able to be on the other side so many years later. Overwhelmed, humbled and grateful. 🦄

This is where I first watched Pather Panchali, Bicycle Thieves, The Seven Samurai, Battleship Potempkin, Citizen Cane… and so many others. More modern masterpieces as our film club started, including In the Mood For Love, Talk to Her & Children of Heaven… As the lights of the MMR dimmed, stories from across time and space transported me to another dimension from which I’ve never really returned fully… 🙇🏻‍♀️
