"Après avoir immigré au Canada, Ming devient père au foyer tandis que FEI, sa femme ambitieuse, poursuit son rêve de devenir copilote en Chine. Luttant contre le stigmate social lié à son statut d’homme sans emploi et contre un sentiment croissant d’inadéquation au sein de sa famille, Ming aperçoit un jour un flamant rose égaré nommé José. Il décide alors de secourir l’oiseau afin de donner un sens à sa vie."
