An actual dream flowering for @lexuscanada

This event was a celebration of their artistry and craftsmanship, and we worked closely with the team at @salt_xc to bring this vision together, making sure every detail was visually represented through our design concepts and botanical ingredients.
Inspiration was pulled from the many facets of what makes Lexus so distinct - but my favourite detail has to be the custom, hand-painted metallic anthuriums from the incomparable @hausofstems

We're not a copy-paste florist - we're artists in our craft, perfectionists, an acquired taste. Click the link in bio to inquire if we would be the right collaborator for your next brand activation

Radishes & radicchio, strawberries & astrantia.
Because a tablescape should give your guests something to talk about before the first course arrives.
This is what it looks like when you commission a creative direction, not a centrepiece.

Botanical installations & art direction for weddings, brand events, and editorial projects in Montréal and beyond 💋

Hot take. I don't want to see any "floral inspiration" examples when you fill out my questionnaire. photos of someone else's table centres are pretty, sure, but it doesn't show me who YOU are.

I want to see your home, your wardrobe, your bookshelf, your dinner plates and tchotchkes. I want to listen to your music and smell your perfume.
My talent is creating art from your essence, with flowers as my paintbrush. And I can guarantee that you're not going to find that on Pinterest (well, not yet anyway 😉)

Forget cookie cutter designs. Let's break the mold.

Click my link in description to get in touch. Can't wait to hear from you 💋

Part 2: How to compare floral quotes

Recapping yesterday...

Design: Browse each designer's portfolio to get a good sense of their signature style. Who's work gets you excited?

Pricing: Who's pricing was the clearest? You want to feel comfortable with and fully understand the allocation of your investment.

Lastly,

Rapport: How did each designer make you feel? Have they taken time to understand your wants, priorities, and taste? Was there anyone you had a natural connection with?
Reflect on the relationship you'd like to have with your florist and the traits you'd most value.
Out of everyone you spoke to, who made you feel the best?

Above all, truly my best advice for you is to with your gut feeling.A sense of trust and ease is truly invaluable. Having full confidence in each of your vendors allows you to sit back and let them provide you with their best work. And isn't that what you want? 💋

I understand. I know challenging it can be to interpret multiple quotes from different vendors.
They're all formatted differently, use different images, different descriptions, different prices to describe what- in your mind - should be the same. How do you know who's vision to trust? And how do you compare what you're getting when the pricing appears to follow no logic from one florist to the next?

I'm giving you some helpful questions to ask yourselves at this point. Your answers will help determine your best fit - even if it doesn't lead you to booking with me.

And why would I potentially and purposely lead you to another designer?

I believe in the importance of design.

I believe in my craft as an artist. And I believe in the overwhelming impact that the right florals will have on your wedding day.

Shall we dive in?
There are three categories to contemplate...

Design:
Which florist brought you the inspiration you most loved?
Additionally, for each designer you're considering, browse their portfolio. Who's work best resembles the look you're after? Who's work gets you excited? What do you notice about it?
Hypothetical question: You HAVE to give one designer carte blanche on your wedding florals - who do you trust to create something you would love?

Pricing:
This is where it can get tricky to compare... It's not quite apples to apples.
Every designer has a unique interpretation of your vision based on their unique eye and expertise. Meaning, each designer will have a different estimation of the raw materials, scale, planning, labour, and time it will take to bring it to life, and so pricing varies greatly as a reflection.
Have all your candidates provided you with clear, and transparent pricing? Do you know how much money is going into staffing and labour vs transportation vs your actual florals?
If you don't see labour, design, or transportation lines on a quote, you can estimate that 25-50% of the price of each item will be allotted to those expenses.
If something is unclear, ask questions, send an email or a voice memo. Don't be shy.

I'll get you the next point and the conclusion on the next one 💋
