Strictly Strictly is wrapping up 10 years of existence.
Kicking off with the first Strictly Confidential Festival in 2016, we followed with various event series in Berlin and nine physical label releases.

We already said goodbye last year, but The First The Last Eternity felt like too inviting a title to pass on one more last dance for our anniversary.
(As some may remember, it is also not the first time we are celebrating a tenth anniversary...)

At Paloma, we’re closing May and our first decade with a housy daytime event, alongside dear long-term friends and some new faces. Only heaven knows what’s coming next.

Klex is a DJ and producer based in Berlin, known for his eclectic blend of trance, breaks, and progressive sounds. Since 2017, he has been at the helm of Strictly Strictly, a label he co-founded with friends that also organizes festivals and events in and around Berlin. Klex’s DJ sets are a journey through diverse styles, always with a deep love for basslines, hi-hats, and energetic vibes. As a producer, Klex has released music on respected labels like his second home Warning, Mana Abundance, and Electric Shapes, and his debut EP, Klextasy, on his own imprint, Strictly Strictly.

Time to say good bye 🥲

After 7 years we will host our last @strictlystrictly event at @about.blank.berlin on June 20th.
We managed to gather old and new favorites for this special gathering. It will already start at 4pm with a Sektgarten so feel free to come and say hi whenever it fits your schedule.

But before that, we will gather at @kwia.berlin with the @warning._____family on Saturday. We will celebrate the release of the stellar chill Out compilation called WARMING, featuring a track of mine 🙂

For the past few months we were cooking the new edition of @warning._____ 's ambient and chill compilation called WARMING. It was a nice challenge to dive deeper into sound design and trying to come up with something which is interesting to listen to.

The release is set for May 25th and we do a small release listening session in KWIA as well. More on that later.

DJ Balduin - Da Float - Kann (2023)

This one marks the end of this little retrospective of 24 and I couldn't think of anything better. It is sooo beautiful and overall beside everything which is going on in the world my 24 was rather good and this track perfectly represents my current vibe. A bit melancholic, but positive and hopeful.
The whole LP by @djbalduin - Concrete Mimosa - is great with HIGH being one of my favorite tracks of the year. Great to see @kann_rec is still going strong after all these years.

Rhythm Code – Moov - Open Up Records (2005)

So it seems the current revival hype train arrived in the early 2000s (brace yourself for the come back of electro clash) and I have to say I quite like it. Early days of tech & prog house, still cheap on discogs and great material for the dancefloor.
Found this and a couple others by chance and love the energy and rawness.

Rave 2 The Grave - Vamp (2021)

"Nostalgic remakes of our favourites." - I guess this said it all. Although I knew about this project I somehow missed it back then and stumbled upon it late summer. Couldn't get it out of my head for weeks and still waiting for finding the right time to drop it in a set.
This one is a re interpretation of the classic R&S anthem by outlander from 1996. And while it might seem off at the first glance I just love how these drops off acid and electro turn the track upside down just to be crushed by these massive stabs again.

Ada Kaleh - O seara de ragaz (H-Foundation remix) (2024)

The journey into deeper territories also let me back more techy and minimal sounds so I am happy to see that @adakaleh.supersanity is still doing his things.
This track was originally written in 2010 and received another remix package last year on his own imprint. Alongside legends like G-man I like this remix by @h_foundation the most.
A steady roller which fits perfectly into deeper sets which I definitely like to explore more this year.
