Great day at the ballpark. Although The Padres got 🧹 by The Phillies.
But any day at the old ball yard is a grand day. Especially when you get to hang with Tim Flannery, John Kruk, Carlos Hernandez and Mark Grant.
Flan is a legend! Krukky was calling the game for the Phillies. Carlos Hernandez is the color guy for The Padres Spanish language broadcast. Mud Grant is a gem.

Thank you Arkansas. @stringsonthekings That was a special little shindig. I appreciate the appreciation. Good folks and great memories. I left my guitar leaning on someone’s van after my set at the festival and there were two bands on after me. What a space cadet. I got to my hotel and looked in the back of the car and there was no guitar. I was too far away to drive back and there was no cell service at the fest. So I just had faith that no one would steal it. There was a lot of traffic on and off that stage. So I fell asleep and had a dream that someone found my guitar and returned it to me but when I opened the case it was a super el cheapo destroyed guitar and it definitely wasn’t “cougar muffin”.

I woke up in a sweat screaming “That’s not my guitar! Where’s my guitar?”

So I had another set the next day at the same festival and I texted Nancy Paddock in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and she was heading back to the fest early and wasn’t sleeping on site.She located my guitar! It was all alone on the stage. Honest folks. Whew! Old Cougar Muffin just hanging out on a lonely stage all alone all night.

So I played a Sunday 3:30pm set the next day and I lost my glass eyeball that was given to me by Caroline Garrard. Her old glass eye. It fell out of my pocket while I was running around playing my set. So I texted Nancy Paddock again this morning (today) and I told her the story of the eyeball and she said she was heading back to the fest today and she would search high and low for it. Well, miracle of miracles —> a girl at the festival found it. Holy moly. I went from feeling so sad about losing it to feeling so happy. Here’s a pic of the gal that found it!

I’ve dissolved. I’m a haggard wayward soul. Luke the drifter with a Hurst rod shifter. A powerlifter. But I ain’t no grifter.

My voice is deep and gruff today. I got about 4 hours of rack time. And now I’m headed to Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
I’m gonna be playing a cool lil festival called Strings on the Kings. I play today AND tomorrow.@stringsonthekings

Thanks for last night Houston! That was some kinda fun. Always a good time at The Duck. A grand fiesta. The whole shebang. The real deal. I love you for for turning it up a notch. Place was filled with joyous gigglers.

Thank you for a joyous, raucous night of full-fledged tomfoolery and hijinks. The Post @thepostfw in Fort Worth always delivers. Thanks to Courtney Patton @court_patton for turning me on to this gem of a venue. They sure do treat you well. My buddy Jack Barksdale @jackbarksdalemusic was in attendance with his lovely folks and I just adore them all so very much.

Now it’s Thursday and that means Austin, Texas. Tonight. May 21st.
04 Center @04center is the venue and it’s a good’n. Yeah baby, you’ll dig it the most. See ya tonight. I got a few miles to travel down yonder somewhere along the Ticonderoga and hang a left at Greenland. I’m transporting several kilos of joy and sarcasm across the great divide. Be there. I’m headed to the lone star state to play a few shows. Yes oh yes I am. It all starts tomorrow. I’ll be the guy on stage holding a guitar and yelping into a microphone. I’ll twirl around in circles and try to dance a little and skip my feet sideways like a leprechaun.

Hopefully I’ll see you in Texas. Some folks call it Tejas. It sounds like Tay-hoss.

Did you know you can rhyme breakfast with Texas? It’s not a perfect rhyme but it’s easy to pull off.

I start in Fort Worth. Come spend a Wednesday in Fort Worth. The venue is called The Post @thepostfw and it’s a lovely and lively joint. You’ll dig it the most. That’s this Wednesday May 20th.

Then? And then?? Well, I’m glad you asked. Head south to Austin, Texas. Rhyme excess with Texas. For example,—> I embraced the excess and went to Texas. But Steve, what’s the name of the venue? Oh! Glad you asked. It’s called the 04 Center. @04center The venue is glorious kinda like —> Gloria in excelsis Deo! Ahhhhh Austin. Thursday night May 21st.

But Steve, what about Friday May 22nd? Where will you be?
