I made a last minute decision to head down to Mexico for two days of El Gonzo…I am so happy I did! There were many amazing magical moments at this incredible groovy and perfect festival. There was one moment that transcended everything to become a truly all time iconic moment in Rock and Roll history, on stage in real time! We all knew Jim James would come out and sit in with Goose - Rick had already sat in with Jim James solo set, and the Sunday sunset MMJ set… What we didn’t know is that they would do a version of Neil Young’s Cortez the Killer the would blow us all away so heavily and deeply!
