On Saturday, June 20, The 04 Center welcomes Tyler Ramsey (former lead guitarist and songwriter for Band of Horses) and Carl Broemel (guitarist of My Morning Jacket) for a stop on their Celestun Tour. ⚡

Their debut album together, Celestun began as an instrumental project between two friends and occasional touring partners, and evolved into something richer. Music at its most elemental, Celestun sees Carl Broemel and Tyler Ramsey stripping away artifice to unlock and explore deeply personal themes of wanderlust and familial love, of fellowship and communal adventure.

This Saturday, May 23, Marshall Crenshaw returns to The 04 Center, and we are thrilled to have him! With 13 albums, Grammy and Golden Globe nominations, and thousands of live performances spanning four decades, Crenshaw is one of American rock and roll's most enduring and beloved figures. You may know him from "Someday Someway," from playing Buddy Holly in La Bamba, or simply from a lifetime of songs that, as Trouser Press put it, proved him "too talented and original to be anyone but himself." Joining him for the evening are special guests Erik Huey and Eric Ambel, making this a bill well worth showing up early for. Doors will open at 7pm, with the show starting at 8. Tickets are still available on our website, and prices will increase at the door.

Next month, The 04 Center welcomes two compelling voices of Texas roots music for one big night! Austin-based singer-songwriter Lisa Morales moves between folk, rock, Americana, and traditional Mexican music with a voice that carries what critics have describe as "an eruption… a total purge" of grief, resilience, and celebration. Joining her are Grammy-winning Los Texmaniacs, led by bajo sexto legend Max Baca, whose blend of Tex-Mex conjunto, Texas rock, and blues has taken them from recording with the Rolling Stones to winning a Grammy and earning a Smithsonian Folkways release. Wednesday evening, we're welcoming three duo acts for a special couples night installment of our ongoing South Austin Song Circle series! Nashville's Goldpine bring their "aggressive Americana" and 16 years of marriage to the stage, fresh off their third album, Three. Austin's own Gritty Sunset (Brazilian multi-instrumentalist Eli Menezes and singer Courtney Gayle) bring a globally inspired sound that's been turning heads around town. And Beth//James, the award-winning Austin duo whose original song appeared in Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman, round out the night with a sound that stretches from Americana twang to vintage indie pop.

JULY 25: Terri Hendrix and Lloyd Maines come to The 04 Center this summer!

Terri Hendrix is one of Texas' most essential singer-songwriters, recognized by Acoustic Guitar magazine and beloved by a multi-generational fanbase built entirely on her own terms. With 20 albums released on her own Wilory Records label, a career co-write on the Chicks' Grammy-winning "Lil' Jack Slade," and a 105-track retrospective on the horizon celebrating 30 years of recordings, she returns to the stage with as much to say as ever.

Lloyd Maines is one of the most important figures in Texas music, full stop. A Grammy-winning producer, A-list steel guitar player, and Austin City Limits Hall of Fame inductee who has played or produced on roughly 5,000 albums over the past five decades.
