I’ve found it difficult to post on social media this last year, strikes, change, and a lot of gloom above my head like I’m sure a lot of you. It’s hard to appreciate what you have sometimes, and I’m lucky to be a Steadicam athlete.

I now have an AR. Why switch from trinity? I think it creates a much better , smoother image. More human, less motor intervention, a purer tilt, rather than a joystick tilt, making it very natural transition from Steadicam. The roll can be independently controlled of an iPhone, which opens up a whole world of creative applications!

Working with many actors in a scene is a choreography, a beautiful beautiful dance, and having approached the film to shoot the master coverage of each scene on free flow(to a degree), with sometimes 16 actors (moving across 2 floors, meant that I’ve improved as a communicator. Proud to have been asked to add ideas in the mix, and happy I was able to suggest things that along with @iuraluncasu and @lori_sbfcreated a movie! Guess I work in features officially now. More films to come! 2024 is hopeful!
