【Presale】2026 Doppo ‘High Plains Drifter’
Thank you to folks who placed a Presale Order. We have sold more than a half of this batch so far.🙏

Presale for High Plains Drifter frames is closing soon. The frame & fork sets are shipping sometimes in May 2026.

We will be showcasing this bike at @amg.cyclery for the SimWorks Pop Up Tomorrow, FRIDAY 10am-6pm!

If anyone happens to be at @seaotterclassic , please come see us and say hi at AMG Cyclery in Seaside (18mins from Sea Otter Event) tomorrow! (We’ll be there ONLY FRIDAY!)

The ‘High Plains Drifter’ is handcrafted in small batch production here in SimWorks’ home town of Portland, Oregon by @thepinchewelder

As we did the 1st model in 2022 is a concerted effort in supporting local tradespeople, and contributing to a local economy of skilled creators that continually demonstrate a commitment to exemplary work within our industry.

High Plains Drifter is not trying to skimp on weight, or offer any performance metrics.

It’s a durable, chromoly bicycle frame with butted main triangle tubing intended for off-road riding applications.

It was designed and built to be a lasting machine to take you on a lifetime of memorable adventures. It has ample clearance for 27.5″ x 2.6″ or 29″ x 2.4″ tires.

【NEW COLOR】Stainless Outer Cable “CRISPER” SimWorks by NISSEN - Why We Choose the Coil Structure -

We often get asked: “Is the CRISPER compressionless?” To put it simply: No, it is a refined coil-type cable.

While “compressionless” cables (straight wire bundles) offer a very stiff feel, they are rigid and difficult to route around front bags or through complex internal frame paths. In contrast, the coil-type structure used in the CRISPER provides exceptional flexibility.

The traditional weakness of coil cables was the “mushy” feel caused by the gaps between coils compressing under pressure. The CRISPER solves this by using a wider coil design, significantly increasing resistance to vertical compression. This allows you to maintain the flexibility of a coil cable while achieving a sharp, direct response—even with V-brakes or mechanical disc brakes.

[Pro Tip] Prep for Peak Performance
Before installation, we recommend letting the CRISPER sit straight for 12 to 24 hours. This removes “initial shrinkage” and minimizes any play or adjustment shifts after the cable is set.

For those who want the perfect balance of everyday usability and tough braking power, the CRISPER is the ultimate choice. Give it a try for your next cable refresh!

[Spec]
- Stainless Outer Cable “CRISPER” for Brake / for Shift - 3m
Length: 3m
Outer diameter: 5mm / 4mm
Inner wire: 1.5 - 1.6 mm / 1.2mm
Materials: Coil / Stainless
Inner liner / Polyethylene

For those who want the perfect balance of everyday usability and tough braking power, the CRISPER is the ultimate choice. Give it a try for your next cable refresh!

【Restocked】Ghooost Twist Flower
We got more @___ghooost___ Twist Flowers in here, finally! They’re live in the webstore.

Rie even went through the trouble of photographing all of the new colors, and there was no shortage of new colors. 30 or so if we’re counting. Took her 4.5h to twist, photograph, and add these variants to our webstore (with the respect of people who are the lovers of colors.💐)

We prioritized to announce the Twist Flowers restock to our Newsletter subscribers first, but we still have some left, and they will fly out quickly, so don’t miss it this time!

Mai and Rintaro from GHOOOST joining the SimWorks crew in Portland again for @made.bike show this summer! They’re such lovely and fun people to have in our mix for a handful of days, but it also means that we’ll likely have some new soft goods pulled together with them by then.

So we’re gonna clear out some of what’s left from last Summer’s ‘Ride me to the Moon Collection’. We’ve got limited stock on some T-shirt colors and sizes, but there’s buku savings to be had in here.

We’re adding a pair of valve caps to the Bundle set- certainly the best value in the mix!

Lastly, our lovely local friend Vanessa came to our Portland showroom with her fresh baked lemon blueberry cake after she heard that the Twist Flower had been restocked. ✨

With so much excitement, she carefully picked out her favorite Twist Flowers, plus picked a Valve Cap. Watching folks open the mystery box is always a fun moment for us too.

This Saturday, the 23rd, Vanessa will be hosting Cake Picnic 2026 at Laurelhurst Park in Portland, at the Reserved Picnic Spot D (around 11am). 🍰🌿 Anyone is welcome!

Reach out to Vanessa @wheeliebadidea for more details!💕

With so much excitement, she carefully picked out her favorite Twist Flowers, plus picked a Valve Cap. Watching folks open the mystery box is always a fun moment for us too.

This Saturday, the 23rd, Vanessa will be hosting Cake Picnic 2026 at Laurelhurst Park in Portland, at the Reserved Picnic Spot D (around 11am). 🍰🌿 Anyone is welcome!

Reach out to Vanessa @wheeliebadidea for more details!💕

【Recap】International Women’s MTB Day 2026
Every year, @nwtrailsisters hosts “International Women’s Mountain Bike Day” at Sandy Ridge Trail System and it was held on May 2nd this year. International Women’s MTB Day is held on the first Saturday of May each year, it was created by the International Mountain Bicycling Association ( @imba_us ) as a day for women to ride, connect, and celebrate mountain biking together.

We always missed the opportunity to participate, sometimes because of rain, other times because it overlapped with our SimWorks California Pop-Up events. But, finally we got involved with this as SimWorks this year.

Rie @charries_cafe wrapped up penning a really thoughtful piece about her recent efforts at getting involved with International Women’s MTB Day.

Pop over to the SimWorks Journal to join Rie for a spotlight on the Northwest Trail Sisters and the great work they do with trail building in the area. (Link in Bio)

As much a celebration of the meaningful work she gets to do with a found and embraced community as a reflection on the value of putting our efforts and resources in to organizations and communities that reciprocate that support. It’s a thoughtful and introspective write-up.

Certainly worthy of a few moments of your time, and maybe it inspires you to seek out a similar organization close to home that might benefit from the labor of your own love.

Thank you so much for trusting us and getting us involved @nwtrailsisters

And the amazing collaborators and sponsors that helped to make this happen:

Rie Sawada - SimWorks: Good People Making Good Things.
An article about Rie @charries_cafe from @simworksusa and the story behind SimWorks has been published on @papersky_official website (Link in Bio)
Please take a few mins to check it out.

“What is SimWorks?”
“Why did you start SimWorks USA in Portland?”
“What does success mean to you?”

These are questions I get asked often, and also questions I keep asking myself again and again.

After traveling together with Shinya Tanaka @kyutai , a founder of SimWorks and the bicycle shop Circles in Nagoya, Japan, I decided to build a home for SimWorks USA in Portland, Oregon, to build a Bridge 「架け橋」 between makers, people, and communities in Japan and the US.
… BETWEEN YOU AND ME 💘

For me, success means being able to connect with people through SimWorks, and seeing those people, everyone involved, living their lives in a healthy way, both mentally and physically, and enjoying each day with a positive mindset. If SimWorks can enrich someone’s life even a little and help create moments of health and happiness, then being able to feel that is, to me, the greatest success of all.

As for SimWorks itself and our community, to never stop creating, learning, and continuing. If we can keep learning, keep creating, keep updating, then I believe that is success.

To maintain curiosity, not fear change, and to have an environment where we can continue to grow, this to me, is what it means to live a truly fulfilled and vibrant life.

When I see things in nature, animals, flowers, landscapes, or experience something, I want more people to experience it too, to see it too, and that’s what makes me want to take photographs or think whether it might be possible to organize a SimWorks bikepacking ride in this place next time.

I hope I can go on more bikepacking trips again this year.

So, we’re planning a SimWorks Bikepacking Overnighter after MADE Show this year again. Stay tuned!!

SimWorks Crewneck Sweatshirt
Our new favorite, a super comfy lightweight crewneck from us folks here at SimWorks USA, offered in some high desert tones and featuring our building block logoSiM シム embroidered on the left chest.

I (Rie) have been wearing this Crewneck almost every day here in the PNW.

I just came back from the SimWorks Pop Up Tour in Southern California, and on the drive back north I even got to surf along the way. (Thank you all for your support. I couldn’t have done this without your support.)

I shared these Crewnecks with some friends, and we all ended up loving them.

The days were warm enough for T-shirts, but after surfing, during happy hour, around the campfire, and waking up at camp in the morning, this crewneck was just perfect. Lightweight, soft on the skin, and suuuuper comfortable! so that we SimWorks crew all ended up wearing one almost every day as well.

This building block embroidered SiM シム logo from new Sim Loader series was also done locally here in Portland.

Special Thanks to @miakbolton @georgia_quinny for being super cute models 💕

【SimWorks by NITTO】Obento Rack
This simple front rack is designed to have more cyclists use easily and casually. It features a lunch box (Obento box) size compact table.

Simple form and function for your daily use and light touring.

Since there is long size connection rod and clamp in order to correspond to any front folk systems, you can still attach this rack without eyelets.

It has a perfect form to match with our On The Road Rack as well.

It is a little too much for a packed lunch, but enough to carry a RC-CAR or a coffee set with a basket. Instead of bringing this and that, you can simply bring one thing. Just like that.

【NEW】SimWorks Rising Hearts Pocket Ts
Artwork by @varietyshopstudio 💘 We asked our favorite friends Josh and Rachel from Variety Shop to help us update our iconic, much-loved Heart and Arrow logo.

They turned it into something cute and powerful with the hearts rising like the sun. They really knocked it out of the park.

We chose earthy colors that feel right for desert rides like this, nature rides, and everyday city riding.

The T-shirts that we elected to use for this go-around have become somewhat of a go-to around here; Comfort Colors Pocket Ts.

Special Thanks to @plattyjo for being a cute model 👯‍♀️💕
