We welcome the godfather of Gqom @realdjlag for his first Berlin appearance in a good few years. The Durban-born innovator’s productions and sets alike are disciplined but volatile, merging township energy with a futurist austerity. It’s dance music reduced to its most essential components, then weaponized.

Don’t sleep on a rare chance catch him raining drum pressure and taxi kicks onto an intimate dance floor equipped with one of the city’s premium rigs.

We’re also joined by Short Attention Span boss @alys.alys.alys . The Berlin-via-Brazil native known for her playful fusion of pop-cultural absurdities and rapid fire genre-hopping. She’s built a unique reputation as a prominent local champion of this fun and fierce fusion of system music, championing South American sounds filtered through a prism of left-field club abstraction. Expect a viscous blend of Baile Funk, Slo-mo Kumbia, queer anthems and system weight as she takes us into peak time.

Closing it out is an overdue Berlin appearance from Hessle/Timedance/Poorly Knit don @snapsofbruce , who flies in from Bristol with a delay pedal and Santa sack of vinyl oddities. He joins @significantutha at the helm for an extended back to back closing. Two old friends from the outer zone of weirdo electronics; united in crud and an affinity for anti-dancefloor deployments. Expect anything from murder ballads to tape experiments, screwed dancehall, Kraut Rock, 4th world bangers, 12”s from the T++ ends of the technoid spectrum. The pair of label alumni are on sunrise duties - a rare outsiders link up not to be missed.

Kindred & Pain Management convene for a night of sub frequency exchange.

We welcome Parisian drill scientist Brodinski, fresh off the announcement of his new album ‘Mono City’ later this month. Across an almost two decade long discography of gun finger worthy productions and collaborations he has alchemized his own distinctive blend of dance-informed club sounds fused with American hip-hop. Usually splitting his time between Paris and Atlanta, we’re overjoyed to have diverted the wizard himself onto a London-bound Eurostar for a rare UK appearance. He joins us for headline duties in charge of the Ormside system.

Bookending peak time are representatives from the two boardrooms: Kindred head honcho Scar and Pain Management label boss Significant Other. Two C-suites, both alike in dignity, united in crud.

Get down next month for a London-Berlin summit at one of South London’s finest independent venues.

For the latest edition of the Kuboraum Digital Sound Residency, we welcome UK-born, Berlin-based DJ, producer, and curator Significant Other @significantutha with ‘Lust on Your Shoulders’, a new work created together with Rosabella Allen @rosabellaallen.

Known for his liminal, emotionally charged sound world, drifting between ambient haze, dub-washed shadows, and rougher club sonics, Significant Other continues to expand his universe. Following his debut album ‘Residuum’ on @___youth__________ and the launch of his Berlin label & event series @pain___mgmt, ‘Lust on Your Shoulders’ arrives ahead of a major long-form work slated for 2026.

Rosabella Allen is a Manchester-based artist working across poetry, visual art, and experimental music. As vocalist for the Manchester/Glasgow trio @shell____company, her distinctive prose and heart-sleeve vocals drift above electronic and post-rock-leaning terrains, including collaborations with @rainymiller_’s @fixedabode_ and fellow ‘Northern Gothic’ outsiders like @richieculver & @sickoflintd.

Pain Management slides into Blue Velvet, the swingers’ locale turned club space nestled on the outskirts of the city. For the year’s final dispatch, we call in a select unit from the city’s shadow circuit for a night of analgesic sub pressure. @gavsborg , @buttechn , @eleftheria.o & @yungsanta on rotation. Red carpets worn thin, sound system heavy, lights low: a serious pain management session not to be missed.

East Kingston’s Gavsborg has spent the past decade bending dancehall’s DNA into new, uncharted forms. On stage, solo or with the Equiknoxx crew, Gavsborg has carried this restless sound across the world: transmissions from Jamaica’s outer orbit. He joins us for peak time duties bringing a bouquet of signature dub and dancehall rarities into the smoked-out haze of Blue Velvet.   

Special Guest DJ is back in Berlin and holding down the sunrise slot. The 3XL daddy needs little introduction; a transatlantic sensation and pivotal figure in a new wave of boundary bending at the convergence of ambient music and club sonics. We’re blessed with a heroic dose of his unhinged trademark dancefloor contortion.

Bookending midnight is fellow Berliner Eleftheria. The Psychic Liberation affiliate and local champion of sepulchral club music takes us from the evening into the late hours. A stalwart of the city’s underground, she’s found herself at the crest of a new wave of anti-dancefloor operatives pushing the stranger end of dub music across dimlit backrooms across Berlin.

Buttechno aka Pavel Milyakov completes the bill, a maverick deployer of liminal electronics across various styles and tempos. Under his dancefloor moniker he explores rhythmic, textural club music from the shadowlands of loopdriven techno. His productions and sets alike are simultaneously austere and slapstick: live-wire loops that appear to collapse mid-sequence, only to reassemble themselves into some brutish new logic, the amalgamation of a decade’s worth of experience tearing up clubs worldwide.

A sign of the times, ghastly and hallucinatory – helen island creates alternative pop music that echoes late capitalism and the saccharine gaze of the digital world. Fresh off a string of standout releases on the stellar @knekelhuis_ label, Pain Management is delighted to host the Paris-based artist’s Berlin debut. Join us for an intimate, smoked-out basement rendition of his trademark alchemy: chopped and screwed pop fragments, genre dissection, processed vocals and dissociative lullabies for disappointed optimists.

The night opens with a live performance from local heartthrob @ben_bondy . Currently in the midst of a historic run of sensuality - most recently found in his much anticipated full length ‘XO Salt Llif3’ on @3xl.info - the Kreuzberg via Brooklyn via Jersey’s kaleidoscopic fusion of hardcore, emo and ambient applied explicitly to the pop format for the first time. Billowing out from the smoke machine hum of the west mineral cinematic universe, the latest incarnation of the Ben Bondy project sees him take to the spotlight with a bouquet of longing anthems that have cemented his already well garnered reputation as a solo artist to be reckoned with.

Warm-up and cool-down DJ duties are in the capable hands of PM favorite @landsc4pe__ , the Berlin via Buenos Aires producer bookending the live performances with some choice doom metal cuts and beatless ambience.
