I love wielding around big glass, especially when the end object is a handsome, drippy horse named Marcuccio. I made this during the @corningmuseumstudio collab residency with @coldberger , but this is not a collab, just to be clear! Initially we were going to merge him with one of her sheep, but we changed our minds and did other collaborative things instead. So alas, here he is. Mirroring this guy was hard because of his size and shape, lessons learned. My arms were properly sore after this whole experience. I am pleased. 😌✨

The Studio turns 30 this month, and three decades have gone by in the blink of an eye! 🥹

As we celebrate this milestone, we’re reflecting on the people, stories, friendships, and creative energy that shaped The Studio into what it is today. ‘The Studio at 30: Shaping the Future of Glass since 1996,’ presented in the Burke Room for Ideas in Glass, brings together works by students, instructors, and resident artists exploring growth, experimentation, tradition, and transformation through making.

We’re especially excited to feature @sibelley, alongside many other remarkable makers, in this show at The Studio. Sibelley’s featured work, ‘The Raindrop That Falls from the Sky, Yet never Touches the Ground,’ is one of many pieces highlighting the depth, curiosity, and creativity nurtured within this community over the years. 🌧️💛
