Rock For Sale Records is incredibly excited to announce the second installment of our Splits For Sale series where we pair two musicians together and have them collaborate on a 5 song EP.
@izzyorambrown and @samsodomsky are seasoned songwriters and musicians living and working in New York City, we at RFS sought to pair them as artists who are both prolific and have a particular mastery and love of the Song as a form in itself. Neither Sodomsky nor Oram Brown had ever written music with another person, and over a six month period they went from acquaintances to friends sitting over a notepad meticulously scratching out lyrics and throwing ideas at the wall.
The product of that process “Little Act” is a disarmingly intimate and sharp bunch of pop songs. Expertly crafted with wit and surprising melodic turns. But we expected nothing less from these two.
The title track, which you can listen to today on our bandcamp page at the link in our bio, is upbeat and instantly hummable. Delightfully open, with the kind of pop catharsis that has you dancing alone in your room, and the straightforward folk familiarity that you need in the aftermath. Give it a spin, and preorder a tape!
As ever we don’t release music on streaming services so don’t bother to look there.
