Hey, I’m Tiarne the person behind Riffs For A Reason.

I’ve always loved music and the feeling of watching it live. There’s honestly nothing else like being in a packed room full of strangers all connected by the same moment.

For most of my life I felt like I was constantly on 1000 side quests trying to figure out where I fit. I’ve always needed something creative, chaotic and community driven to keep me occupied. I guess I would say I get a thrill off living life on the edge…

Whether it’s through the disability community I work closely with, creative art nights, community events or now live music events I’ve always loved bringing people together.

From a young age I’ve always felt deeply connected to people who don’t have what I’ve been fortunate enough to have. I’ve always been the type of person to help where I can and I used to sit around constantly wondering how the hell I could do more for people struggling around me.

That’s why I started Riffs For A Reason.
Every email, gig post, DM, run sheet, almost every artwork, every meeting, setup day and every late night figuring out logistics and somehow making these events work… this is the person behind it all.

I run this by myself, but without the incredible community and network around me, none of this would actually be possible.

What started as an idea has now turned into a growing community project powered by live music, creativity and people wanting to support something bigger than themselves.

Since starting, 68 bands, 350 musicians not including the countless creatives it takes to bring these events to life, have played a huge part in helping raise money and awareness for causes supporting child victims of domestic violence and neglect, people needing stem cell donors, people experiencing homelessness and more causes still in the works.

Riffs completely relies on the community to back this project. Every ticket bought, every band that says yes, every artist, photographer, venue, sponsor and every single person sharing posts or showing up to gigs helps keep this alive.

The more support this community gives, the more impact we can create together.

Thank you for all the support 🫶🏼
