@nomadic_madam captured me in my purest form for my 29th birthday today. ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„

I don’t dread the end of my 20s next year. I reflect on the journey I’ve taken to get to where I am now. I look forward to the experiences, challenges and beauty that await me as I travel this long road of life onward. As my work and character grow into sublime fruition. To be the man I am now. I hope you all accompany me. I would have nothing without friends like mine and supporters like you all. Love you forever.

Garden of the Muses

I was so excited about the fire photos I posted them out of order for the story line. In these images we outline the decadence, joy and passion that exist between the muses before those warm feelings give way to sadness, desperation and, eventually, self immolation.

I’d like to speak again about how this concept came together from disparate parts and formless ideas into something concrete and to my eyes, very beautiful. The composition and lighting are second to the emotion being displayed by the models. I’m floored yet again to be able to work with such talented people.

Muses: @fire4skunk @irenehcameron

A small prick of the finger turned into a centuries long namesake.

A flower reminds us that sometimes pain adds to the beauty around us.
Let our pain inspire great change and appreciation for the life trials that bind us together, like a field full of flowers that thrive with each other.

Never cease practice. Knowledge is a river, not a lake.
Figuring out chiaroscuro just a little bit more each time I work. Thanks to @piperwood11 for booking me to experiment.

Channeling Queen Olga with @amieburkeabomb
Styled by my partner in crime šŸ”„ @gigi.jr
Read below for Amie’s write up of Olga’s legacy

ā€œHistory’s original ā€œdon’t mess with meā€ queen: Olga of Kiev šŸ‘‘šŸ”„

After the brutal death of her husband, she didn’t just seek revenge—she engineered it. Ruthless, strategic, and wildly creative, Olga turned diplomacy into traps and outmaneuvered entire groups who underestimated her.

One of the most infamous legends? She demanded tribute in the form of birds… then used them to literally set a city ablaze. Early air warfare, but make it medieval. šŸ•ŠļøšŸ”„

But Olga wasn’t just about vengeance—she was calculated. During the Great Schism, she aligned herself with the Orthodox Church, strengthening her political power and ultimately securing sainthood.

In an era where most women were expected to be sidelined, Olga used intelligence, brutality, and strategy to rise—and stay—on top. ā€œ

I don’t usually pour my heart out on social media. But today feels different.

I was born and raised in Kenya. Growing up in an African household I was deeply rooted in my culture where modesty isn’t just encouraged but it’s expected. Showing skin was never allowed. And in many ways it still isn’t.

As ā€œgoodā€ and ā€œrespectableā€ women, we’re taught that certain parts of our bodies must remain hidden. That wearing shorts, crop tops and all is unacceptable. Ati you’re walking the streets of Nairobi or Nax or any other city like this… wehhh! God forbid something tragic happens to you dressed like that, just know you will be the one to blame.

We’re told we’re seeking the male gaze.
We’re labeled as cheap, loose, disrespectful, ā€˜malaya’ (that means prostitute btw for those who don’t understand Swahili). We’re diminished for simply existing in our own skin (and still are).

There have been protests in the past like ā€œMy body, my choice.ā€ Conversations and debates… but deep down, the message remains the same:

A respectable woman covers herself up!

When I moved to the U.S. I thought I had shed that mindset. But it’s been almost five years, and I still hesitate before wearing a bikini. I still question myself before putting on something considered ā€œexposing.ā€

So this post? It’s personal. It’s about embracing my culture but allowing room for growth.

Because history shows my ancestors not fully covering up. Reality shows villages with Maasai women wearing beads on their bare chests. So this covering up that we preach and praise… who brought this into our culture? Religion? Patriarchy? Colonialism?

This post may not align with the traditions I was raised in. I may be misunderstood. I may be judged. But I stand firmly in this truth:

Women should be able to wear whatever they choose without feeling ashamed, without fear, and without being blamed for someone else’s lack of self-control. A real man should have the discipline to govern himself.

Whether you agree or disagree isn’t the point.
I’m sharing this in case there’s another woman out there navigating the delicate balance between honoring her culture and allowing herself to blossom into who she truly isšŸ¤

In honor of The Blue Condition show opening this weekend @thevoyeurbordello here’s a series of work over the past few years centering around the coolest of the colors. Scroll through to see some examples of styles I don’t generally post šŸ’™šŸ„¶

The first picture is available for sale at the gallery tonight (2/7) from 6pm-9pm along with MANY others from talented artists in the area.

I urge you to attend it’s quite powerful seeing so much blue rendered symbolically and visually in so many mediums.

Rituals at Twilight with @marquis.delamort & @fire4skunk šŸ”„

Huge thanks for the help with conceptualizing, planning and executing these rituals from the great Marquis. When treading the dark road, many creatures shrouded in shadow cross paths. I’m glad that from the dark the two of us could create some light.

Also, as always, @fire4skunk is a treasure and should be preserved with all the other priceless artifacts on Oak Island. They took part in concrete rituals as conducted by @marquis.delamort for this project. I just sat by and captured them as they unfolded.

I had such a tough time deciding what the cover photo should be, let me know if I chose the right one or if there was something better! Comment your favorite image below šŸ˜ˆā¤ļøā€šŸ”„
