✨Katsi’noniowá:nen - The Flying Head Beta is now LIVE!✨

🔗Play for it for free at the link in our bio. Don't mind the bugs, we're working on fixes as we speak.

⏰This game runs on most desktop internet browsers. It's currently playable in Eastern Kanien'kéha (Mohawk), and English. Support for the Central dialect of Kanien'kéha is in development. Keep your eyes peeled for community playtest events in 2026!

📢Call for projects!!!

Are you an artist, cultural worker, technologist, coder, or researcher exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and ecology?

As AI democratizes rapidly, its potential for creative exploration and global impact grows. However, the environmental toll of AI, including energy and water consumption, calls for urgent action to develop more sustainable practices.

Apply before February 14, and develop your project in collaboration with leading mentors and institutions:

https://forum.mutek.org/en/mutek-ai-ecologies-lab

The MUTEK AI Ecologies Lab is an interdisciplinary residency fostering innovative and sustainable approaches to AI in the cultural sector.

The lab not only questions the environmental impacts of spreading AI technologies by cultural organizations and artists but more critically aims to prototype tools and practices that may facilitate more sustainable adoption of AI in the sector.

August was a busy month here are Revital! We hosted a Blender workshop, and presented production progress on our Indigenous language video game library at @mutekmontreal .

It was a great week of connecting with old friends, and making new ones. 10/10 would do again.

🌱 episode 33 • with Kahentawaks Tieweshaw @kahentawaks • available on CHOQ.ca and all listening platforms

Multidisciplinary artist Kahentawaks Tiewishaw created in 2019 her first video game, “Karihonniennihtshera (Teachings),” which was featured at the imagineNATIVE Film and Media Arts Festival the same year. This interactive game is designed to teach words in Kanien’keha. Available on the website of her company, Revital Software @revitalsoft , the story is guided by a young girl who follows her grandmother through vocabulary describing the fauna and flora around them. Imbued with the environmental values and knowledge transmitted by her family and community in Kanehsatake, Kahentawaks’s creations contribute to keeping her mother tongue alive and transmitting her culture to future generations.

Production, Direction, Sound recording, Sound Design, and Editing: Sidonie Gaulin @sisi__sido
Musical Composition: Naïma Frank @naimafrank
Visual: Alice Zerini-Le Reste @lereste.lereste
Mentorship: Anik Magny @anikoo_magny
