Drag is more than entertainment—it’s a platform for truth, protest, and power. It’s always been part of my drag. Growing up, I was told drag was just entertainment, but once I moved to NYC, I learned otherwise. 🏳️‍⚧️ 🌈

Drag is political. Always has been. At its core, it is oppositional and radical. It challenges every norm—gender, power, capitalism—and aligns with the legacy of the great liberation movements. 🔥 👑

Here is a snippet of my speech at the @stonewallfoundation’s Visionary Awards, where I presented @bobthedragqueen their Stonewall Visionary Award! It’s always an honor to be with you Stonewall Foundation. ❤️

Can you tell I was angry when I wrote this speech?I was nervous but Receiving the Trans Vanguard Award from @reach_la is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Reach LA uplifts and celebrates LGBTQIA+ people of color and their communities, creating a space that educates, inspires, and empowers youth around sexual and reproductive health, culture, and self-preservation. For them to recognize my activism as part of that mission is an honor beyond words. Thank you, Reach LA! 🙏

I’m so grateful for those who support and uplift our community, giving us opportunities to thrive. And to those who’ve tried to tear us down, thank you for showing us our strength. 💪 I especially want to thank the queer community for being an impermeable, solid source of inspiration and liberation, not only for the LGBTQIA+ community, for so many across the world. 🌎 🏳️‍⚧️ 🏳️‍🌈

When I was asked to be on one of my favorite reality TV shows, the traitors, I was so stoked because murder mysteries are an absolute fantasy for me. Also given how many attacks there are on the lgbtq+ community it's important for me to let people see a transgender person in action before they make the decision on whether it should be legal or not for us to go to the bathroom, or be on a sports team, or get healthcare. I understand this is a big platform so I want to make the community proud #traitors🗡

Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia, meant to raise awareness around LGBTQ rights violations worldwide.

May 17 was chosen as the date to commemorate the day the World Health Organization no longer considered homosexuality
a disease.
