Merry Christmas everyone. 🎄🎅

Today, I was given a gift that touched me deeply—a tin Superman lunchbox from @patblackattack . This isn’t just any lunchbox. It takes me back to 1986, a time when my friends and I were dumpster diving behind our old elementary school, Springfield Elementary. That’s when I first stumbled upon this exact type of lunchbox.

This lunchbox represents so much more than a simple find. It takes me back to a pivotal moment in my life, a time when my memories were so vivid, and most importantly, a time when I still had my mother around. It holds a connection to my past that I can’t put into words.

What makes this gift so special is not just the lunchbox itself, but the thought and care behind it. Pat must have truly listened to my story to even know how much it meant to me. He came to my home on Christmas Eve to bring it to me and I am glad I waited to the gift it. That kind of attentiveness and understanding speaks volumes about the type of person he is.

Pat, thank you for this incredible gift. It’s more than an object—it’s a reminder of where I’ve been, who I’ve become, and the meaningful relationships I’ve been blessed to have along the way.

This lunchbox will forever hold a special place in my heart—and now, in my office, where I can see it every day.

Squaw Valley Aerial Tramway is a 1.5-mile long aerial tramway at the Palisades Tahoe ski resort in Olympic Valley, California. It was inaugurated in 1968, and was called the Cable Car. At its opening, it was the largest tramway in the world. It carries passengers from the Base Camp at 6,200 feet to High Camp at 8,200 feet. High Camp also has a winter ice skating rink and a summer rollerblading rink. @mkmcconaghy and I did rollerblade while @rhettcakes was being responsible. 10/10 recommend 0/10 Sasquatch spotted. Minimal tacos were eaten during this excursion.

This was the historic TWA terminal from the Golden Age of Air Travel and walking through it I believe it’s where art, function and design all had there nexus event.
