I don’t really know what to say of @optionlist but the music you should already know. Producer of daemonic drone drenched in a Silent Hill fog. Producer of spine-seizing ambient equally. Each of these will undergo technoid shifts where unthinkable drum lines slink from a swamp of cybernetic fuzz. 2025’s Mystery of Flesh found List accreting this diversity of sound into a crimson tableaux of distorted signals and deconstructed selves, at once thundering and diaphanous. Shattered voices synthesised into pulses of people uncovering personhood amidst a labyrinthine shell of noise and static. Then they’re about as wide-ranging a DJ as you’ll come across, playing now across the country, relocating anything from drill, drone, trap and techno into spaces of ethereal rapture in a manner which’s merit verges on the indescribable.

optionlist’s Realist mix could function as a kind of mission of proof for deconstructed club, not as mode or ethic or definability, but as spirit - the act of reading as a perpetuum of play. A warren of counterposals, waged at a speed where the alchemy is in something you couldn’t quite clock as it leapt by you, but that it opened something. Everything is unbound because it needs to be. List practices not anarchy or desecration. There is little more legitimate adoration than to see any music as an opportunity for repurposing. List shows an expanse of music because every blend is an opportunity for an idea. The idea needs not be entirely elucidated. Merely that it instigate pause and a perplexity delivered unto the listener as excitement and élan. To practice piracy as the urgency of passion. To the extent that this mix does not really need a tracklist. As a whole it is sufficient without denotation. List just evinces that a love of music is most ardently performed not simply by playing it but by unflinchingly playing with it.

Trauma Unit presents FLOODLIGHT: An exorcism through industrial light + magic.
Trauma Unit invites its heaviest, darkest and most destructive lineup to date, featuring 10 performances pushing sonics to their limit. The point of collision between blinding strobes, clouds of smoke and abrasive sound, expect to be torn apart + reilluminated; angelic recomposition in a state of cathartic release. This edition of Trauma Unit offers up North America’s Malice Doll and D.Blavatsky — two titans of the stateside experimental club scene. We also welcome LUηG, a vocalist who's work has been shaped alongside titans of deconstructed club FITNESSS, Alparr and Myen, devlivering a raw, cathartic performance. On support we have a rare performance from Hellsing, Optionlist [founder of Double Take Records], SOL741, overshine, DJ Jansport, and residents glas___skin + Naramnesia (who premieres a rare ambient and noise-driven set.) Anticipate fracturing; consciousness bent, twisted, and smeared across the sonic plane. Sounds rupture, shriek, and convulse; a violent purge, a sacred unraveling. Release is not gentle under floodlights; it is feral, fevered, and absolute.
