BURNING. coming closer 🔥 ist das neue zeitgenössische Tanzstück der STEP by STP Jugendtanzcompagnie Niederösterreich, die das Motiv des Brennens ins Zentrum stellt: Was brennt in uns? Wofür brennen junge Menschen? Und was passiert, wenn eine Welt aus den Fugen gerät und zugleich neue Kräfte freisetzt?
Das Brennen zeigt sich dabei in unterschiedlichen Facetten: als innere Glut, als Wut, als Überforderung, als Sehnsucht nach Veränderung. Gleichzeitig steht es für zwei Wirklichkeiten: für eine im Hintergrund ständig brennende Welt, und für das, wofür junge Menschen selbst brennen – für eine gute Zukunft. Sie plädieren für eine Praxis des Zuhörens und Hinschauens. Der Körper wird zum Träger dieser Zustände: vibrierend, kräftig, sanft, gemeinsam und explorierend. Zugleich entsteht ein Bild von Gemeinschaft: Wie bei einem Lagerfeuer kommen die Körper zusammen und spüren ihre gemeinsame Kraft. Die Gruppe trägt das Individuum und lässt gleichzeitig Raum für persönliche Ausdrucksformen.

BURNING. coming closer 🔥 ist das neue zeitgenössische Tanzstück der STEP by STP Jugendtanzcompagnie Niederösterreich, die das Motiv des Brennens ins Zentrum stellt: Was brennt in uns? Wofür brennen junge Menschen? Und was passiert, wenn eine Welt aus den Fugen gerät und zugleich neue Kräfte freisetzt?
Das Brennen zeigt sich dabei in unterschiedlichen Facetten: als innere Glut, als Wut, als Überforderung, als Sehnsucht nach Veränderung. Gleichzeitig steht es für zwei Wirklichkeiten: für eine im Hintergrund ständig brennende Welt, und für das, wofür junge Menschen selbst brennen – für eine gute Zukunft. Sie plädieren für eine Praxis des Zuhörens und Hinschauens. Der Körper wird zum Träger dieser Zustände: vibrierend, kräftig, sanft, gemeinsam und explorierend. Zugleich entsteht ein Bild von Gemeinschaft: Wie bei einem Lagerfeuer kommen die Körper zusammen und spüren ihre gemeinsame Kraft. Which premiered in October 2025 in studio brut in Vienna @brut_wien

Choreographic formations soar amidst sound sculptures and dulcimer spheres, resembling the geological process of thrusting, this powerful movement of earth pushing upwards, a force that causes falling and faulting. In the face of the climate crisis, performers Lens Kühleitner, also known as Lan Rex, and Olivia Hild use thrusting as a performative strategy to explore emotional as well as geological layers. trace my layers, thrust your guts is inspired by movements in alpine soil: faulting, pushing, gliding, squeezing, breaking, flowing. Matter is active here. Through dance and sound the artists follow vibration as a shared source. Sculptural instruments outline natural rock formations, resounding deeply and clanging loudly as Olivia Hild and Lens Kühleitner interact with these sound sculptures. The choreography lies layered in the space like rocks: One layer porously merges into the next. Bodies rub against each other, inwardly, into the space and resisting the pressure until something breaks open.

Das war unser Showing letzten Juni! Die Tänzerinnen der Jugendtanzcompagnie haben die Bühne des Festspielhaus gerockt und mit viel Kraft und Feinheit das Publikum berührt.

Wie Zeichen der Zeit: Die STEP by STP Jugendtanzcompagnie Niederösterreich vertanzt in ihrer Performance FORCES Kräfte, die in der Natur wirken und thematisiert zeitgleich die Kraft der Gruppe. Inspiriert von den derzeitig rasend voranschreitenden Veränderungen in der Umwelt wurden Bewegungen recherchiert: Druck, Fallen, Schmelzen, Porosität, Erschütterungen. Die Compagnie hat unter der künstlerischen Leiterin Olivia Hild ein bildhaftes Tanzstück entwickelt, das die Gedanken der Jugendlichen beinhaltet und gemeinsam eine starke Gruppenbewegung, einen Organismus, erschafft.

As an accompanying program to the performance, an entire weekend is dedicated to The Sun Is Gone, including the launch of TQW zine #2 – Shabé Yalda edition, an artist talk, and a party to celebrate the winter solstice with @PersianGrooves and @Raqsouna. Plus, the The Sun Is Gone Living Room opens daily at 17:00, presenting film screenings and a selection of related books and articles before the performances.

Choreographic formations soar amidst sound sculptures and dulcimer spheres, resembling the geological process of thrusting, this powerful movement of earth pushing upwards, a force that causes falling and faulting. In the face of the climate crisis, performers Lens Kühleitner, also known as Lan Rex, and Olivia Hild use thrusting as a performative strategy to explore emotional as well as geological layers. trace my layers, thrust your guts is inspired by movements in alpine soil: faulting, pushing, gliding, squeezing, breaking, flowing. Matter is active here. Through dance and sound the artists follow vibration as a shared source. Sculptural instruments outline natural rock formations, resounding deeply and clanging loudly as Olivia Hild and Lens Kühleitner interact with these sound sculptures by plucking, pushing and gliding. The choreography lies layered in the space like rocks: One layer porously merges into the next.
