After months of immersion, its my pleasure to invite you to my exhibtion “Softer Tissue” at @officinet !
In this micro-ecosystem, you will encounter an entanglement of ceramic beings. Here, lifeforms are recognised as situated at the intersection of fantasy, reality, and memory. Here, you are given time to notice. To become mytho-palaeontologists, contributing to each being’s changeable story, establishing connections between imaginable worlds.
I hope to see you there🤍
Fernissage: 14th of May from 16-21:00 (opening speech by @idalods )
Exhibition period: 14/5-6/6 (tue-sun) from 11-17:00
The exhibition is generously supported by Beckett-Fonden, Nationalbankens Jubilæumsfond, Knud Højgaards Fond & Grosserer L. F. Foghts Fond.

🙏THANK YOU 🙏
We've rested since closing down our exhibition last Sunday and we're still so overwhelmed by all the positive feedback and great conversations during our exhibition.
A lot of our pieces have found new homes, we hosted two fun workshops and met over 700 people during the exhibition.
We've spent more than 6 months making the exhibition specifically for Officinet and we couldn't have made the exhibition without each other ❤️❤️.
The generous financial support made this project possible to accomplish. Thank you Grosserer L. F. Foghts Fond, TOYOTA-FONDEN, Danmarks Nationalbanks Jubilæumsfond, Knud Højgaards Fond and Statens Kunstfond

〰️ Closing Today 〰️
Open until 5pm today sunday the 19th
Thank you for the amazing feedback, kind words and new opportunities. We’re truly grateful 🙏
Officinet, Bredgade 66, 1260 Copenhagen K
Open 11am-5pm
Last day Sunday the 19th
Moving Lines
Since the beginning of the 17th century, scagliola has been used to imitate stone surfaces. In this exhibition, Flensted Mouritzen reinterpret the material and transform details from Lauritz De Thurah's baroque building, where Officinet is placed, into new site-specific pieces.
The outlines of the facade, door frames, panels and skirtings are translated from two-dimensional profiles into three-dimensional forms. Using traditional stucco techniques to work with scagliola - a mix of plaster, bone glue and pigments - and combining it in new ways. The power of repetition lies in the recognizable form transforming into something new each time it is manipulated.
The process of making and the finished pieces are inseparably bound together in this exhibition and the investigation of a material and a process show new sides of an old and traditional technique.
The exhibition highlights details, often overlooked, by showing the connection between profile and form.
Moving lines from architecture to object. From material to form. From past to present.
