A homage to the sweetest and best animal I ever worked with! Djaya! She is a rescue dog and came into our lives via Jim van der Woude🖤 ( a family friend and amazing mime artist ) Djaya now lives with my dad and we were lucky to have her in our music video.

We're so proud to unveil 'A Ride of the Moon' for @jonathan.anderson's @dior - a richly imaginative stop-motion film directed by @ninagantz and @ummmrenee crafted to celebrate Lunar New Year, voiced by @070shake.

Inspired by early cinema and baroque theatre, the film was brought to life through visible old school stage tricks, playful surrealism and meticulous in-camera craft. It's a true celebration of collaboration and the power of handmade artistry at a time where AI is so centrefold.

It also marks Nina's third collab with @jonathan.anderson and a first for Renee. We're excited for what the future holds ❤️‍🔥

Petit aperçu des coulisses du film, de la fabrication des décors et accessoires. Les personnages évoluent dans un studio à taille réelle, ce qui a conduit l’équipe à utiliser de vrais objets, chinés ou provenant de la vie quotidienne, jusqu’à des mouches collectées et des dessins d’enfance transformés en courrier de fans.

Mon Beau Studio a construit trois décors grandeur nature, transportés de la France vers la Belgique. Les structures ont été surélevées sur des tables d’animation afin de faciliter le travail des animateur·rices.

Véritable couteau suisse de l’animation, @rosie_tonkin a assuré la conception des décors, des accessoires et de marionnettes animables, dont un pigeon réalisé dans l’esprit de Jan Švankmajer.
Le chef opérateur @FrederickxSteven a quant à lui conçu un système de motion control sur mesure, avec le soutien de la rigger @margauxhumblet__stopmotion et des stagiaires Sophia et Maria — une équipe soudée, même dans les moments les plus intenses.

The whole Gantz family came together to make this one happen during our last summer holiday. My three brothers were all involved, Django stars as the main actor, Mickey was our gaffer/spark, and Dook kindly lent us his precious Christmas village. My dad let us turn his house upside down and his amazing dogDjaya, a rescue dog from Bulgaria who turned out to be the most professional dog I ever worked with! My mum handled one of the most important jobs of all… the catering.
Ali Little came down to film and somehow managed to work magic with a tiny amount of lights and a Sony FX6. Set design and props were created and sourced by Mariken, Reggy, Lina, and my dad. Thank you for letting us hijack your holiday!

Saltend Recovery consists of Terence Dunn, vocalist Sarah Newington, and myself. The full album drops early next year.
